I doubt it. In a regime as likely to use it as Iran, I suspect that if anything, it would encourage preemptive strike to remove their capability to use it.

Now, 50-60 warheads spread every-huwhich-way may have been a bit more of a deterrent.

Quoteif they try a conventional build up there will just be more airstrikes.

im anticipating american ground troops before very long.
I highly doubt that the US will invade. Small scale special forces operations may, however, be a thing... But then, it's quite likely that those would be Israeli spec-ops, not American.

Quote from: Vocaloldfart on June 26, 2025, 02:25:54 AMI agree with billy rubin. Many nations have atomic weapons, who has the right to impose conditions on any other nation?
Whoever can, and stands to gain enough from it. That's why my nation, for instance, is practically a vassal state of the EU.

QuoteSo far the US is the only nation that has used the atomic bomb. Should not the US be banned from developing atomic weapons?
They'd probably find the attempt to ban them from anything of that nature rather cute - while at best completely ignoring it.

QuoteMe thinks, Israel also having the bomb, will use it as soon as they see a chance of getting away with it.
Just a thought.
Based on..?
The Israeli Defense Force.  An assumption based on their past achievements at circumventing nearly all international laws, War conventions ,most ethical laws and conventions and flagrant human rights abuses.
These animals seem to be capable capable of anything.

"Donald Trump Threatens To Revoke Rosie O'Donnell's Citizenship" | Deadline

QuoteDonald Trump posted on Saturday that he is giving "serious consideration" to revoking Rosie O'Donnell's citizenship.

The president posted on Truth Social, "Because of the fact that Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

O'Donnell is a longtime Trump nemesis. She moved her family to Ireland earlier this year, saying in a TikTok video that "when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back."

O'Donnell is a longtime Trump nemesis. She moved her family to Ireland earlier this year, saying in a TikTok video that "when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back."

O'Donnell has continued to be critical of Trump on TikTok and other social media, posting earlier this week that Trump "has put this country in danger" with his "horrible decisions." She said that the cuts to the National Weather Service to the deaths in the flash floods in Texas. "These are the results that we are going to see on a daily basis," she said.

The president does not have the authority to unilaterally strip citizenship from Americans born in the U.S., many legal scholars note, while the Constitution gives Congress the power of naturalization and denaturalization.

Just to note: The "conservative" supermajority of the US Supreme Court and the party controlling Congress appear willing to act as if he has monarchical power. Their supposed devotion to the US Constitution is a sham.

Does the Donald Have the authority to revoke Rosie O'Donnels citizenship? Does the Donald really believe that he has that power? What are the alternatives for removing him from his high and mighty position?  Trump himself is a serious problem for our nation. I have a sneaking suspicion that he is  much influenced and possibly greatly controlled by  Stephen Miller.

Must we wait for a hero to put a spider in Donald's noodles.?

It's possible to assume that he's trolling. Trolling from one of the most powerful people on the planet is in itself notable and troublesome. Regardless, I think such an assumption is foolish. He's already shown his cards and they're repressive and authoritarian. His musing about banishing a disfavored show business personality from the kingdom is not out of character.

He already shat on the US Constitution by claiming to nullify the 14th Amendment via executive fiat. Some may scoff but Trump claiming the power to issue an executive equivalent to bills of attainder doesn't surprise me.  That's more or less what he's doing. Such skulduggery was part of the inspiration for America telling Britain to take a hike, but the character of the country has changed over 250 years.

he doesnt have any kind of authority like that, but his minions can make life difficult for his critics.

trumps habit is to throw the spaghetti on the wall, and then see how far the supreme court will go to hold it up there for him.

What's he going to get up to at next years FIFA World Cup, if his behaviour at the club world cup is totally unacceptable.

No country that calls football soccer should ever have been allowed to stage it.

Trump is arriving in Scotland today to play his own golf courses at Turnberry, Ayrshire and Menie, Aberdeen.

It's sad that Turnberry used to host the British Open until he got his hands on it and renamed it Trump Turnberry.
Tom Watson and Greg Norman were once winners there.
When Watson beat Jack Nicklaus in 1977 it was heralded as the greatest ever Open.

Just like to point out that Trump is not a true golfer because he disregards the laws of golf as set by the R&A (Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews) and the USGA (United States Golf Association).

For Trump there are no 2 shot penalties for going out of bounds or losing a ball.
He will insist on a free drop.
He will expect a 'gimme' both on and off the green, something only allowed in match play.
Trump: "Are you gonna gimme that?"
Other player: "Errmmm..."
Trump: "I'll take that as a yes."
He marks his own scorecard and declares a 4 when he takes a 6.

As it is not possible to beat him he is the club champion at all his courses.
In other words, HE IS A CHEAT.

I've seen better swings in  a derelict park.

Trump arrives at Prestwick airport at 8pm local time yesterday.
That's where Elvis in transit made his only appearance on British soil.

Immediately tells us what we should be doing.
Take down the wind farms land and sea and build new oil rigs.
I assume he wouldn't mind oil rigs visible from his links golf courses.
He is a NIMBY.

Starmer is travelling up from London to meet him later to lick his ass.
Should be the other way around.

At least he's not going to lick his arse and give him a blow job as Boris would have.

You better watch out, don't speak ill of the king. The felon in chief apparently has convinced himself he won some sort of mandate in the last presidential election. Apathy, and despair (with some misogyny and racism) won--he got about the same number of votes as the previous election but millions who had voted for Biden didn't bother to vote for Harris. That's not a landslide it's an indication of how ineffective the Democratic Party has been at opposing him and his cult of personality.

He's rather unpopular now that he's back in power but that couldn't be because he's crapping on the US Constitution and enacting disastrous policies domestically and abroad. No, it must be the fault of the press. Wannabe dictator says "what?"

"Trump, 79, Claims Negative Stories About Him Are 'Illegal'" | Daily Beast

QuotePresident Donald Trump doubled down on his administration's brazen attacks against free speech in a Friday afternoon press conference, telling reporters that publishing negative stories about him is "really illegal."

Asked by a reporter whether he sees a difference between "cancel culture and consequence culture," the president called it "a trick question," noting "I'm a very strong person for free speech."

The way Trump sees it, the math just doesn't add up. Referring to his victory in the 2024 election as "a landslide times two" (right after calling it a "landside"), the president doesn't see how a person could have the "level of popularity or voter support as I did in the last election, and yet 97 percent of the people are against me in the sense of the newscasts are against me."

"Trump Threatens Reporter After Hate Speech Question" | New Civil Rights Movement

QuotePresident Donald Trump is facing a barrage of criticism after threatening a well-known veteran reporter who asked about his Attorney General saying that she would target people who engage in hate speech, which is largely seen by experts as a constitutionally-protected right.

"We'll probably go after people like you because you treat me so unfairly. It's hate. You have a lot of hate in your heart," the President told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl.

Asked if that was "appropriate," Trump replied, "Well, ABC paid me $16 million recently for a form of hate speech, right? Your company paid me $16 million for a form of hate speech. So maybe they'll have to go after you."

After claiming, "we want everything to be fair," Trump went on to say that "the radical left has done tremendous damage to the country, but we're fixing it."

Senator Ted Cruz says US broadcast regulator acted like 'mafioso' on Jimmy Kimmel

Well I never!!

"US Senator Ted Cruz has accused the head of America's broadcast regulator of acting like "a mafioso" in the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel - the sharpest attack yet from a conservative Republican on the controversy.

He said Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman Brendan Carr's threat to ABC over their comedian's monologue about slain conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was "dangerous as hell".

"That's right out of Goodfellas," the Texas Republican said, as he affected a mobster's accent.

Other Republicans in Congress have been more muted in their criticism of how the FCC pressed Disney-owned ABC to take action on Kimmel, who was indefinitely suspended on Wednesday.

The row started after Kimmel appeared to suggest in his monologue on Monday night that the alleged gunman charged with murdering Kirk was a Maga Republican, although authorities in Utah have said the suspect was "indoctrinated with leftist ideology"."
