As Trump rewrites the laws of physics, anything is possible with him.
He has already rewritten the laws of golf.

Next up could be the Trump Mars golf complex to include the Mars Invitational Golf Classic on the slopes of Olympus Mons.

Dark Lightning

If the chump was on that old show, "Name That Tune", he could name that with no notes.  :D

Precisely. :smilenod:

The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel. For extra points, that one was a Disturbed cover.

I did wonder if that could be the case. Although I bet he's in more trouble for the fake passports than the guns!

May The Asmo invite you into the weird and wonderful world of YouTube videos dedicated to SovCits getting arrested, being in court and such-like? Ah! Days of intellect-leeching entertainment of the most addictive variety!

Check especially the second one, some 3:30 in. Packed with SovCit gems. "But because this charge is a violation of the original bond, all versions of David Hall must remain in jail unless he can come up with the cash."

The sovereign citizen bullshit has been expanding in the last three or four years.  There have been a few of them for many years, but a lot more of them since our previous president has been so persuasive with his continual lies. More than a few individuals.... persons.... kooks have bought into the sov-cit belief. They are typically,  uneducated victims suffering from advice promulgated by other uneducated kooks.

They do not believe that they are required to pay taxes, nor adhere to the basic tenets of civil law.  There are hundreds of thousands of them and the movement is growing.  We have a population that exceeds 330 million, thankfully they have not yet become an significant or influential part of our society.

One thing I don't get. Well... Among the many things I do not, this is one;

What's the deal with traveling vs. driving vs. operating a motor vehicle? If indeed the right to travel by at least some modes beyond one's own two feet was a thing, one would think there would be an amendment to the Constitution somewhere, saying that "A well-regulated logistics service, being necessary for the commerce in a free State, the right of people to own and operate modes of transportation, shall not be infringed."

We have a nation with some brilliant people.  The brilliant ones are far outnumbered by the ones that I will politely call C minus types.

things that were considered obvious were often not included.

the brief account of inalienable rights in the american constitutions lists "certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." there was debate about whether to include the right to property as well, but since it was considered obvious, it was apparently left out in pursuit of brevity.

this has resulted in the application of eminent domain to private citizens when there is no traditional public interest. for example, farms and neighbourhoods have been destroyed by local governments to make way for private development-- a business or shopping center-- that the city councilmen judged would provide more income from taxes. if you show up at an american airport with a large amount of cash, local police can confiscate it without charging you with a crime. if a visitor to your house is arrested for possession of drugs, unknown to you, you house can be forfeited to the government.

police in america take advantage of this by raiding expensive properties with a specific eye to th ecash value that can result from the raid.

a right to transportation in the colonies was considered so fundamental that the authors of the constitution probably never conceived that it would be in question. in the colonies, if you wanted to travel, you did. you didnt seek official authorization. and amendm, ents are hard to complete.

but this is apparently only applicable to motor vehicles. you dont need a license of any sort to drive a wagon in my state, and ten year old kids are often on the highways driving teams of horses. and until recently and maybe now, you didnt need a license to pilot a sailplane, so kids could fly them.

on the other hand, when i was kid, you had to have registration for a bicycle, and you were issued a metal license plate.
