It's 12:07 and I here fireworks.
Happy new year, I hope it's a good one.

It's a little early for fireworks here, there won't be any for another 11 hours and 40 minutes. Time flies down under, or maybe it just feels that way, since you're all upside down and stuff.

Still 8 hours and 7 minutes to go. Happy New Year.
About 13 more hours to go for me.
:sad sigh:

Well, blew off quite a bit of fireworks two hours ago. Happy Newyear!

Heartbreak, unemployment, car fire, Princess Leia dying, and the bad vs. worse US election.....  :-\

Here's hoping next year is less sucky!  :drink:

But you're upside down too.
Dissension 'tween the inverted.
What would Posdibky think of us?

Posdibky? Is that a typo for 'possibly'? D is next to S and K next to L...it's posdibke...

Since time flies so fast on the other side of the world you all must be fast typers. I'd imagine typos are way more common. ;)

How can you not know Posdibky? she's an absolute living legend.
When cold fusion gets sorted in fifteen years, it'll be thanks to Posdibky.
You've probably read her books, though she uses various pseudonyms.
She would have been an excellent pope, if not for those sticklers for tradition.
If we can't have a robot I'd vote for a female atheist non Catholic for the job.
You'd no doubt know her face, she did a lot of modelling whilst studying.
You must know her music but I won't link, it'd be stuck in your head for days.
It's rumoured that she's cured most everything but has population concerns.
Larger populations could be maintained if not for resistance to her innovations.
Gloucester could tell you more if you're interested, which surely you must be.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

I've got about 40 minutes here, but I can see the sky from behind this hill and some pretty palm trees.  :hammock:

Fireworks here. One of our nearby neighbors fires them off for any and all holidays.

I've have one small glass of port to ring in the New Year. I can't feel my lips. Yes, I am a lightweight when it comes to alcohol.

About 20 more minutes to go.  :sad sigh:
Already finished a whole bottle of wine...what do I do now?  :(
Well, if I go to sleep I would like to say to all of you...

I'm glad I was with all of you in 2016 and I hope to spend 2017 with all of you as well.

:chin: Once the effect of New Year's Party (:drink:   :drink:) has passed, it looks the same as 2016, to be honest.  :P

Some Christians are rather despicable: friends of ours who moved to NZ about 20 years ago with two of their three daughters recently found out that the daughter who remained has been diagnosed with leukaemia. The wife wrote airily in her Christmas card that whatever happened it would be God's will. They are waiting for a 'word from the Lord' about when they should come over. This daughter, unlike the other two, has three teenage children and has somehow managed to escape the Christian life, so I guess she's not as important as the other two. If I sound bitter, I am.
