So I'm a Nazi for letting a woman have a choice to get rid of something she possibly does not want?
Ok, sure. I can live with that.

Hey Hat this is an issue many feel strongly about, it has in fact been discused here in the past http://happyatheistforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2151 Mabey you'ed like to restart it there. I fear it may swamp this thread. Though I suppose thats one of the pupses of this thread anyway. Of course I may be wrong I often am, but at the least you could see some of the opinions others on this forum hold as well.

(my spelling, grammer, and punctuation suck, I know, but regardless of how much I read they haven't improved much since grade school. It's actually a bit of a family joke.

Oh awesome, go me for not being able to find threads properly |D;;
I wasn't looking to start a full debate on it or anything, which is why I just made that small comment.
Although I just might kick start that topic again whenever I return from France. Maybe.
Prolly not because I'm lazy.

Yeah, it's a pretty heavy topic, after all.  :)

Wondering if we'll lose power again today due to the heat.  Yup, hits 95 degrees here in our subdivision (or wind or rain...) and we lose power.  It was too hot to sleep last night!

I'm thinking about my friend. He comes from a extremely religious family. He knows I'm an atheist and I've talked to him before about it. He doesn't mind because he isn't a "real" Catholic himself, he just believes that his religion is superior and extremely realistic. I remember a few months ago, while discussing religion, he said that "I think human minds will always be flawed and we'll never know the truth". This disappointed me greatly, but I didn't say anything to him at the time. I just don't understand how you can live like that. You're labeling yourself as stupid and naive. How can you believe such bullshit? It drives me crazy! I could go on, and on, and on...

THINK FOR YOURSELF AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN DAMN MIND!

We lost power today... not once, but twice.  The first time, we took a few hours to pop over to the local department store (Fred Meyer) and find sunglasses, sun hat, etc., for the hubby and kid who are going on their first rafting trip on Sunday.  We got home after 2 hours to find the power back on... yippee!  One hour later, darkness once more. This is ridiculous!  We did hit 104 today... with a high of 101 projected for tomorrow.  I know many of you live with those temps and are like, Yeah, so?  But this is Oregon... people DIE in heat like this because they're not used to it.

It's strip and sit naked time.  LOL! :eek:

I'm from Oregon too and since I live alone thats how I usually am at home in summer. I'm not a nudist I just don't see the point and it keeps me slightly cooler in the summer. I will say that After some of the places I've been in my life Salem really doesn't get that bad but it still sucks I've always done better in, and prefered, the cold. You can always put more cloths on if its cold when it's hot you can get buck naked and you'll still be too hot.

My mum told me about how homosexuals and people that support them are ruining the moral fabric of America. She also told me about how secular movements were "stupid and selfish".

I can't argue because I'm going to need help paying for college (lol), and I definitely can never come out of the closet to her,because she doesn't realise what "love thy neighbour as thyself" and "treat others in a way in which you would want to be treated" mean.

Perfect timing. I watch that (muted) when The Doors "The End" is blasting in my livingroom. Wonderfully creepy moment. Bravo, sir. You win three internets.
