Thanks guys, Rec, Tank. Mag, Pc, silver, Tom, Bruce, Fb,  I am so glad to be back as well and hope you guys are having a good time.

Missed you guys and the good fun times.

Apathy, I like your avatar. Dr. Malcom is one of my favourite characters. And ofcourse Jeff portrays him perfectly from the novel. Your signature is from the movie right? The novel has the original line which I love but it comes from a scene not in the movie.

Malcom is talking to donald on his original paper on the oark that he gave to john hammond. While ellie looks for the berries which is making the stego's sick, in the park before the storm hits.

"Broadly speaking, the ability of the park to control the spread of life forms. Because the history of evolution is that life escapes all barriers. Life breaks free. Life expands to new territories. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously. But life finds a way." Malcolm shook his head. "I don't mean to be philosophical, but there it is."

Things here are ok. I guess. Not as bad as they used to be. What's up at haf? 😀

Yes it is from the movie. I never read the book but from the way you tell the tale, I think Mags is on to something with the whole "speaking to the universe" and all. I am very moved  :jumps:

It's been eventful. A couple of members left, not exactly on great terms, and there was much hand-wringing and discussion over it, but many of us are still here. I myself vanished until our little firechicklet hatched from her egg. She's 12 weeks old as of yesterday and I love her madly. I'm also fucking frightened for her and the rest of the world when we elected a dangerous moron as president. Drove. Me back to HAF in some ways because I needed a pocket of sanity, or at least HAF's brand of insanity.

Have things calmed down at all in Pakistan? Haven't seen much news from there lately.

Niya, why is it that when you speak, I feel as if you speak to the universe?
If this doesn't make any sense is because I just drank a whole bottle of wine, but that's what I "see".

Hi Niya , you'll have to excuse Magdalena, she's a bad Catholic, and took some of our altar wine...

I feel like we've met here on the forum before, butt I'm not 100 percent sure if we actually have or not. Certainly your name looks familiar, anyway greetings and salutations.

Niya, have your theistic views changed over the past year or so?  Where are you now in that sense? Please forgive me if I'm out of line.

Niya, I am so pleased to hear from you once again.   You are a princess of the universe who has been sorely missed.

Congratulations. I wish her the best! Girls are awesome. Be a good daddy, spoil her.  :P

It's just that D. being POTUS is kind of like an insult to the office itself. I am not trying to be political ofcourse. I share your dread.

I don't mean to pry but I'd like to at least know if some of the awesome people I knew here left?

Mag is my rockstar, she can do whatever she likes.

And we have met on the forum before, you were the honorable Bruno back then. But I believe I left shortly after you joined. Thank you for your greetings and the same to you.

You'd have to be specific Bruce, people change every day.  :D Broadly speaking I remain a theist. I hope that doesn't come as a disappointment.  ;D

The feeling is mutual, and you spoil me with such praise. I have missed you a lot. There is not a better bunch of people I know on the internet.  :-*

Hello Niya, I agree Icarus is a princess of the universe.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Hi! So glad to hear from you after all this time!   :frolic:

Glad to be back Chris and I hope you and your family is good.

All good thanks. Have a new grandson, Edwin, born in September. My son is finally getting married to his long time partner. The wedding is in California in August 2017. So off to the USA for a week!

Not at all, I remain that way, as well. Hadn't heard from you in a while, so I just wanted to know if anything had changed..  Cheers.

How long has it been? Let me think...

The site crashed a little over a year ago, but we were saved by the Great Grey Asmodean, though it did wipe out a lot of old posts. I think of the people you know, DeterminedJuliet and Amicable no longer post, Ali only comes by once in a long whole, Crow and Claire both "retired", and Jumbojak hasn't posted in a while either. Probably some others I'm not thinking of.  Had a number of new people join too.
