I hope CERN can keep that portal open for awhile, or open it at will -- if Trump wins in November, a few of us may be wanting to jump thru it.
Option 2: Throw Trump through it!
:chin: The article does say that "Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it..."  :chin:

"[The scientist] are opening up mysterious inter-dimensional portals that disrupt the fabric of space and time and expose Earth to the risk of alien or demon invasion from a parallel universe."

–I say we wait. If they send us something ugly through this portal, we'll send them Trump. They're the ones who will be the victims of a "demon invasion!"  :smilenod:

Can you imagine being on the receiving end of Trump? We'd probably see daemons coming through seeking asylum.
That's because Trump will probably deport them from their own realm.  :eyeroll:

Which is why I'd rather go thru the portal.  Keep Trump contained.
Or...We could leave Trump suspended between realms.  :smilenod:

Icarus

The end of the world is upon us. This week Brian Dunnings  contribution is plain evidence of the Rapture. It is all about Sky Trumpets heard the world around. That Theramin thingy is imitating the sky trumpets. For fun, visit this weeks Skeptoid.

Do we have the technology to leave him halfway?  Because that would be the perfect solution.  We could also send the Palins to keep him company (mustn't be cruel, after all).

Um... Where is the 666 in the CERN logo and how is that relevant to the portal cloud..?

In Asmo's grey lump,
wrath and dark clouds gather force.
Luxembourg trembles.

No, we mustn't.

Come on, Asmo :smileshake: --He knows what all this means...

The 666 represents Asmo's grey lump,
and the portal cloud is relevant to Asmo's grey lump because that's where:
wrath and dark clouds gather force.
And...
Luxembourg trembles.

Everyone knows this.  :eyeroll:

It's all them particules what's spoiling the weather.  You mark my words. Stands to reason, you can't have all them particules flying about without it gets in the way of the sunshine.

Yep, all us oldsters need to be shaking our own walking sticks at these science meddlers.  Leave well-enough alone and don't mess up my retirement!!

Tut, you're an old fuddy-duddy, Ecurb. One should never be too old to embrace the new!

It's the bloody politicians and bean counters that will foul up your old age, science stands a better chance of improving it.

It is due to science, mainly,  that I have lived to almost 72 being able to keep doing my best to kick politicians' arses!  ;D
Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

The LHC is safe.
I'll take your word for it.
I'm glad I could calm your fears. ClaireLionTamer, a science teacher and respectably sensible member of the forum,  has visited CERN and the LHC. She knows a lot more about the science than I do and she's suitably sceptical about the woo merchants and their scaremongering.
