I suspect JJ has been fine, but denying us his presence in the hope that we will start a thread "Wherefore Art Thou JJ?", only with dancing ladies, not Asian guys.

     

I don't know though. A thread for JJ with flashing lights and dancing ladies or allow him to remain quietly undisturbed among us? What would you prefer, JJ?

I was doing great until tonight. Second week back at the gym and I got slammed. Not very high but I think I have a mild concussion.

JJ the guy made a foolish mistake. No wonder that he got slammed. His competitor was bigger and probably stronger.  Leg locking as in the video is a very amateurish move. When your feet are off the mat you have lost all control of your opponent in such a case. A front leg lock when on the mat is a different deal but not a smart maneuver when fighting a larger, stronger opponent.  A rear leg lock gives you some control or at least an opportunity to use your hands as in a submission move such as Hadaka Jimi C. That is a choke or carotid artery attack that is at this time not in vogue for the use by cops.

With a big guy like that you can push him so that he pushes back with more force. You are moving backwards in response which sets up an opportunity for basic easy throws such as Tomoe Nagi or Uki Otoshi.

long ago Sensei Rosson ne Icarus (IJF Nidan , Shodan) can tell it easily but certainly can no longer put his money where his mouth is.  Sorry about your hard earned experience with the slam.
