My dad has got some photos of Black Sabbath playing at a consert back in the 70's. I really hope I can get them when he moves.  :D

Day 2 of new eyeglasses........ damn my head hurts.  I don't think they got the measurements right on these suckers.  The doc said it was an imperceptible change in vision, although I could tell it was off  :raised:  hence the reason for the visit, so why does it hurt so much????

3 years, a year longer than normal since nothing had changed last year.
I dragged out my jewelry pliers and worked on them...... I think the adjustment is better now

They're not supposed to hurt. The same thing happend to me once, had to take another test.

I've had more glasses than I care to admit, going blind ain't fun.  Before they caught up with my deteriorating vision I was getting a new script every 6 months!  When they correct for a spherical rotation issue there is usually a few hours of a headache, sometimes it triggers an ocular migraine but never after the first day.

I think in this case I got really poor quality service in the fitting and adjustment arena.  Not having any issues so far today after bending the earpieces into the right position.  Lets hope it stays that way, I want to work on a quilt!

Really?  Wow, I've never met anyone else that has had to do that!  From age 11 to 22 it was every 6 months, 22 to around 28 every year, and about every 2 years after that.
It started with just rapid deterioration of my right eye then my left, then the astigmatism started and the latest is this rotation issue.  That causes the most grief, because when it starts to change I see 2 or 3 of everything on which ever side it's changing with my glasses on.  Glasses off it's fine... I just can't see enough to walk through my house :blink:

My eyes probably won't but it's hereditary.  Yours on the other hand could stabilize at any time  :D   Most teens who start having rapid changes in sight do stabilize by the time they are in college.

The distance has finally stopped radical change at -3.00 for both (though that will probably change here in the next few years, family being a guide), but the astigmatism and rotational change just keep getting worse and worse.  I didn't ask for the numbers this visit as I was so very disgusted with the new doc and the staff (my regular guy out here retired and sold the practice to these people).  I can tell you that the difference in what I see looking down at the ground through the edge of the lenses is now about 18 inches away from where it actually is.  Just 10 years ago it was only about 6 inches and I only tripped on curbs.

Combined with the other 2 things, it's bad ;)   I'd love to just have the -3 any day.  They can fix it with laser surgery sure but the rest still keeps me at the fuzz level I'm at without correction.  I actually have visible wrinkles in my corneas that are causing the astigmatism, even with perfect distance vision it causes enough distortion to be at least the -3.  So add that on top of the bad distance and then the rotation issues.....

Gah.... I hate it.
