It's interesting that they don't mention Iceland. They have a phone app that contains the whole population and details their familial relationships. So if people want to consider having kids together they can see a very detailed family tree and details of heritable illnesses.

Still, fewer moving parts do make shit last longer. The pyramids were more or less pointy piles of sandstone. Still standing. My old VW Passat had "one" moving part, which was the electric sun roof. It could run on less than a quarter of the budget of my current wheels. Some in my family still have one of them rotary phones that do what rotary phones do. I myself went through half a dozen smart phones in less than a third of its lifetime.

^ I'm looking forward to this. I only have binoculars, and we've had some marine layer, so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm also eager to see that periodic nova flare that was predicted to happen before September of last year. Of course, that kind of prediction is a bit chancy.
