I went to what was billed as an engagement party this evening. The family lives opposite and are Muslims. The time was 4.30 onwards and we turned up about 6 along with some other neighbours. It turns out that an Imam had been there earlier and performed a Muslim wedding ceremony for the couple, but we knew nothing about that part. The family was clearly embarrassed about the whole thing. The 'bride' told us that as a Muslim, she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend, but they'd been together for four years! Her dad wants her to have a register office wedding to make it legal, but she and her partner don't believe in marriage. The whole family wears western clothing and the mum has a very good job. The dad is head honcho of the computer programmes for Crossrail which we didn't know until he popped up on TV in 'The 15 Biliion Pound Railway'. They don't seem to be at all religious. Confusing.

I saw an old psychiatrist at the store today. She seems to be doing well and it was good to see her. Talking to her it was like I was her patient again haha

Then later on my way out I saw an ex gf and it didn't look like she saw me but she walked right by. Then I had to go back in because I remembered some things and saw her waiting in line. So I went around the other way where she couldn't see me and got to another lane.

I didn't speak to her because we had an abusive on/off relationship where she would cheat on me, which led me to be manipulative with her and then to others later on. So by avoiding her, I avoided becoming manipulative again.
