I'd advise you to wash your hands, if you had any.
I suppose you could do a metaphorical ablution.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Asmodean

Hm... Yes. Luckily for The Asmo, He still has that kidnapped child whose hands He used in another post... Oh wait, He eatethd it, did He not? Also, washing a small child's hands of the crap which just seeps from The Asmo's inner circles' issues..? Yuck. >:( ...Nevermind. :(

You know, the person with the drug related issue is not even at the core of my dilemma... But that's the way those things go, apparently. My actual problem is letting someone else down by calling it quits, someone who does command my not inconsiderable loyalty, and someone I know will try to do his/her/their best with all the right intentions. I'm not being counted on for anything at this point, so technically, I'm obligation-free, but... There is that hatefully-irrational "but" again.

Good advice though. I suspect I will get there after some more consideration.

The more I hear about Trump, Brexit, Syria, China, Russia etc the more I remember bits from those dystopian "speculative-future"  novels I have read over the decades.

I was always pleased when  science-fictional predictions became fact but in the above context . . .

Oh, shit.
Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Similar thing when lovely relation wanted us to help with her mum's alcohol probs. We sorted a debt repayment scheme and with the help of various agencies, saved her from eviction. When she resumed drinking and getting into debt we were asked for help again which we felt obliged to do by the daughter, but then the mum's abdomen swelled as though she was expecting triplets and she was told she had 3-6 months if she didn't stop drinking. That was the level of severity that was needed, and she did stop and is now doing well, although with a damaged liver. It actually makes me feel even more annoyed because I wonder if she was really an alcoholic which would give me more sympathy than if she was just a heavy drinker. Is there a difference? I'm ignorant on the subject.

Yeah... Those who are lucky enough to just get a brush with death and recognize that they would much rather live... Well, I'm not counting on that happening in this case.

In muh Ran Over, though. :D

The police would be quite welcome to take photos. :D

The Asmo, He would call it Reginald. And He and Reginald would terrorize old ladies and parents of children playing in the street everywhere.  ;D

How do you drive without limbs? Is this one of those robo-vehicles? If so, does it have a terrorize setting amongst it's driver settings?

Asmodean

Well... That is... The Asmo, He still has that kidnapped child from another post, whom He... Ate. Nevermind. >:(

Minions have limbs. The Asmo might sit in the back, looking important. >:(

Once upon a time I used to miss people, but that is longer the case, my aim is just that good.
