Here you write a poem that is absolutely meaningless and nonsensical.

Beetles:  By Ecurb Noselrub  2016

The orange beetles sniffed a rose
while wombats gathered in three rows
and zombies sang familiar tunes
on planets that all had three moons

But then she returned from the fair
just as the princess curled her hair
and the debate was raging on
but all the listeners were gone

Then just as the bar was closing
Six more beetles started nosing
around the cupboard, which was bare
Because no thing could be found there

This concludes my testament
And now my fender has a dent
because the beetles ran into it
so I must go outside and glue it.

...May I suggest the above? Seems to improve flow.

wrath and dark clouds gather force.
Luxembourg trembles.

In my mind I compressed "and the" so that the flow was OK, but who am I to resist a suggestion from The Asmo.  I'll make the change.

The Asmo, He has posted some of His poems before. Please post them again.  :tellmemore: ...Just one.

Fine. He shall compose some Divine nonsense for this thread later.

Love it!

A sphere of concentric clouds
Played tunes beneath the starlit dome
The termites, busy building mounds
Went to the park where kids could roam

Their heart and fate, their human ways
The King forsook within the storm
When cherry blossoms' final days
Gave way to winter's crystal form

My love, your visage haunts me still
He shouted from the desert sand
A place where armies came to kill
And gods and demons met their end

The crumbling walkways of their hearts
Gave rise to sorrow yet unknown
For one who built a house of cards
And in its ruins stood alone

The clouds now swirl above the sea
Where ancient forests once stood tall
With tears of rain no termite sees
They mourn the golden kingdom's fall

Hm... The Asmo is not overly pleased with The Asmo's effort. >:( This makes too much sense. Well, in a way, so did Noselrub's contribution, but The Asmo was going for something more nonsensical. Properly worded, not Jabberwocky-like, but with less of a... Thread to it. Might write another one later.

Nonsense: produced by apathy, written by various artists

I will not eat it on a boat
I will not eat it with a goat

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace woohoo

I still express, yo, I don't smoke weed or sess
Cause it's known to give a brother brain damage
And brain damage on the mic don't manage, nothing
But making a sucker and you equal

I want to get out of here
I want to get out of here
I, I've gotta, I've gotta get out of here
I, I gotta get out of here
It's Okay To Say You're Welcome
     Just let people be themselves.

You know... I think I've just managed to define my problem with that song.

It's not that much the near-impossibility of the concept as it is... Boredom. Lennon's fantasy world, when seen past the initial hugs and smiles and flowers in hair, is relentlessly boring. At least, I fail to imagine it in any other way. When given a choice between being happily bored or miserably interested/engaged, well... I'll take the latter.

But I digress... Back to nonsense poetry, shall we?

I'm going to attempt one closer to OP style. Let's see...

Unconventional ways of dictation
Were adopted by hungry crustaceans
On a shelf full of books in the morning
The reader's new novel was forming

The weird and wonderful creatures
Pulled a prank on their literature teacher
In a cat's lazy dream about sparrows
A quiver was filling with arrows

Once or twice he picked up his medallion
From the back of a five-legged stallion
And as the trumpets blared dinner
They declared him the winner

...

... ...

...Nope. Still not pleased with The Asmo's effort. >:(

Also, note how it stops rather abruptly after the third verse. The Asmo was SO going to degenerate it into His darkness by cooking the crustaceans alive, shooting the stallion after it lost a race and ending the creatures' prank in a rage-fueled bloodbath. He was going to, but He resisted.

Thank you for making me laugh, Asmo. His poems are great.

Well, what do you know! His Evilness is being all pleasantness and blooming Things while the resident hippie is all like "Hey, who is you?! Huh?! HUH?! WHO?!"

Snow in Hell? Why, yes. Yes it does. ;D Imaginary snow, it COUNTS.  >:(

I would like to use them in a different, but similar manner, if I may...

Well, what do you know! I said, 'Asmo, His words made me laugh!' Ecurb Noselrub said, 'Asmo, His words made me cry!' Looks like His Evilness is touching people's hearts in a ways even the resident hippie can't.

Snow in Hell? Why, yes. Yes it does. ;D Imaginary snow, it COUNTS.

~Give us another poem, please.  :tellmemore:

Ok... I might give the easy-listening theme another whack. Might also just write in my more usual "beauty in decay" way.

...Later though. I'm at work, doing somewhat uninspired and uninspirational kinds of stuff. You know, drone work. I too have to do that sometimes.
