I was online earlier here at HAF when I happened to glance down and noticed Pahu was also online at the same time, just the two of us...I feel so honored, like being in an elevator and after it stops at a floor and someone gets off and another person turns to you and says, "You know that was "Ken Ham" who just walked off?

"Shivers with excitement"!

The same thing happened to me the other day! I didn't know what to do! I thought, "Do I just walk up to Pahu and say, 'hi'!?"--OMG, he's like a shooting star, it's now or never!" I just froze...and he left.  :(

No one

I had to sell my team. Thinking of buying another, but not sure which one.  Any ideas?

My team is the University of Florida women's softball team.  They are two time national champions. Those premier athletes are doing well this year but it is a long and arduous way to another championship. Many other major colleges have ferociously competitive teams. Qualifying tournaments are beginning now.

That might have been a nice picture if Donald Trump wouldn't have photo-bombed it (Older guy, upper left hand corner with white fedora on)

QuoteWorking more than 25hrs 'bad for brain'

Middle-aged workers should switch to part-time because working 9-to-5 all week is bad for the brain.

And if they're pulling lots of overtime – 60 hours or more – their brains are performing worse than if they were unemployed.

Those are the findings of a study of 6500 Australians aged over 40 that was conducted by Japanese researchers and published by the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research.

It found that for middle-aged and older people, working a maximum of 25 hours a week drew out the best performance from their brains.

Grind on past this threshold and the information that flows across synapses starts to slow.

(They did originally want to do the research on gibbons but they couldn't get it passed their ethics committee, that's what I heard)

I may use this to my advantage.
No no can't possibly mow the lawn,
or visit the thems, that's like work
I've over maxed my brain already.
My synapses, I feel them slowing.
The use it or loose its have lost.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

UK oldies, how long do X-ray results of organs usually take to come through to the GP. I know bloodwork is a standard 7 days unless an emergency and from my knowledge in the past when nothing was wrong it was also 7 days. Bloody technician being really nice has now made me super anxious.

I'm not THAT old but when I had my head CT scan recently it took 10 days for the results to get to the GP.  I then had to book an appointment to discuss the results, I think if it was clear they would have just told me over the phone.
