Do you mean the ridge has no shingles? It could be that they were planning on installing a ridge vent (see below) and never got around to it.

Hey Buddy, interested in a saddle?

The President of the company I work for has this saddle in one corner of his office, as he and his wife own horses.
We are in the process of moving our company to a new office building (Same complex different tower). As the President is now semi-retired his new office is much smaller than the current one he occupies, yet he wants to display the saddle in his new office.

I don't really think he has the room for it, or rather I think the space it will occupy could be better utilized, but fine if you want it you're the President and I'm not going to argue with you merely make suggestions.

The new office is in the next tower, so it's not a long move, in fact the movers are going to complete the move in one day. However, the President doesn't want the saddle boxed or wrapped or dollied over, he simply wants two of the movers to hand carry it over to the next building.

I met with the movers yesterday to review our move this Friday, and had to extend this request to them...(He doesn't want one person to carry it, has to be two)

I have no idea what the value of this thing is, all I can say is the child of every employee who has ever worked for us has sat on this saddle.

The VP of the company was in the office last weekend with one of his daughters and her husband, as they are taking some of the furniture we can't fit in the new office and the VP showed me a picture of his daughter sitting on the saddle now, in her early 30's that they took last weekend, and another that is about 15 years old that he took of her when she was a teenager (That's how long the saddle has been there at least)

Wealthy people are strange...I've had to catalog over 70 paintings we have in our office, which means take a picture of each one and file it by the four different artists who were commissioned to do the artwork for our office. As the major portion of our business is Automotive related, all of the pictures are about cars or Detroit (Motor City).

The cars pictured are old, new, vintage...like this one of "Old 16" the very first American Car to win an international auto race. It was built built by the Locomobile Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and was the fastest car in the 1906 Vanderbilt Cup race.

Here's the painting of the car from our office.

And here is a picture I took of the actual car a couple months ago at the Henry Ford Museum here in Dearborn where the car is now housed (Still in running condition, it has actually never been restored simply maintained as a working vehicle)

So all of the paintings are quite nice, but we can only utilize about half of them in the new office space, which means at least half or more will have to be put into storage. So each painting has to be completely bubble wrapped and labeled. As we aren't sure exactly which ones we can use in the new office, as the President want to choose each particular painting and a spot to hang it we have to have the moving company transfer all 70 some paintings to the new office space, and then we'll sit down and review the files I made and choose where each one can go in the new office, the ones we don't use will have to then be moved to storage. This will take place next Saturday which I foresee as being a long, long day...I'm already exhausted, besides trying to complete my regular duties I've had to deal with getting prepared for the move. Yesterday I got home around 4pm, laid down and fell asleep until 830pm...supposed to be outside right now cutting my grass.

Thanks for the offer Bruno, unfortunately I don't ride western or show so a saddle that beautiful would be wasted on me. Ebay would be a good place to get quite a bit money for that saddle.

My girlfriend has left me since a little while. I miss her. We broke up together actually.

I'm just so angry at people not helping me when I ask them to. I can't help but partly blame healthcare for a lack of support.

On the subject of healthcare I would like it if we could give people over the age of 50 or 60 there own general practices. Children there own and people between the ages of 18 and 50 there own, with those that have chronic or go a bit too often a different GP from the masses.

Getting an appointment is a pain in the backside.

YES!  This would be amazing.  My GP surgery has a frustrating appointment system where you have to call on the day to get a same day appointment but they only open the appointments at 8:30 am.  This is fine if you don't work but for me it's impossible as the students arrive in school at 8:30 am.  I get that if you're really ill you wouldn't be in work so could call but sometimes it's a problem that you can still work but still need to see a doctor.

So I finally managed to get a doctors appointment when it suited me and it turns out that my doctor the entire reason I am still registered with that surgery even though it is well out of my way has left, what makes it worse she left due to my dad telling her she could do better if she went private. For fuck sake dad never knows when to shut his trap, it is almost impossible to find a doctor that is well well well above the standard who went out of her way to get you sorted and on top of that was super hot.
