Going to Portland tomorrow.  Looking forward to staying in a beautiful lodge.  Not looking forward to the flight.  Did I mention that for someone that travels at least monthly, I freaking hate airplanes and airports?

They got back safe and sound and we had a meal at the pub and then went through a fraction of the photos. As my daughter is a professional photographer they are like a travelogue !!!

What a day.
I get a call from credit people that my paycheck bounced. Not even $200, and it bounced.
My boss for the nyc branch is pissed at the Paris main branch. I'm just befuddled at how unprofessional a big market survey company is.
This shit better be cleared up soon . I want my  next check already.

No. We don't have whiskey and I am no fan of alcohol.  :-X I am however drinking lots of hot tea with lemon and honey.

"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

I tried to join a writing forum, but the entire place seemed like one giant pissing contest. Constructive analysis and feedback = helpful. Overwrought egos and constant dick-measuring =/= helpful. Granted, there's a fine line, but still. Bah.
