getting ready to buy my first smart phone.  I'm 26, so I'm literally the only person I know who doesn't have one.  iphone 4s here I come.

I also don't have a smartphone, but for now, the phone I've got makes calls, sends texts, and takes pictures, so I won't spend the money upgrading to a smartphone until this one gives up the ghost. Enjoy the iPhone, though! It's a bit addicting, there's a ton of neat stuff, free apps etc you can use on it. I play with my friend's all the time.

:D Yes they WILL! And they'll tell you all about it, and they'll show you (and your kid!) a fun game that was theirs to be had for FREE...

... and before you know it, you're been suckered into their iReligion.  :P

Unless it can rival xBox, PS3 and PC games of the same age, they can shove it up their behinds.  ::)

Free stuff, it usually sucks.

QuoteI have an android Huawei, cuz i'm not a fan of apple. None the less, a smartphone will literally change your life! Have fun!!
I have an Android Somethingorother on a four-five years old smartphone. The only way it changed my life was that for two weeks before buying it, I could not call people because my old phone was broken.

Other than that, it does exactly what the old one did: sits on the bedside table with periodic trips to the charger.

Got an LG P350 running an Android OS. Lovely little phone.

I think Scissorlegs and I are the last two people on the planet that don't have smart phones.

Well, that's not entirely true - I have a Blackberry for work, but it's aging and surfing the internet on it is more trouble than it's worth.  My personal phone is just a normal call/text/camera phone.

I was excited about my iPhone initially.

I still like a lot of the convenience, however I wish my Motorola Razr still worked.  That was THE best phone ever!

I had one too.  It was nice.   :)

I seem to need to take some time to think about stuff and get myself back in order emotionally, mentally, chemically and otherwise, because I'm not feeling rational or balanced enough to trust myself on a messageboard at the moment. I'll be back, but I'll be away for a while. Take care guys. And if I snapped at anyone, I apologize.

"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.
