Just filed my taxes and feel both relieved and exhausted.

I know the exact feeling. I just filed my taxes yesterday, it was a real pain in the butt to organize everything. Especially since I have to file as an independant contractor on a few different jobs. ACK.  :P So it's a relief to just be done with it for one year. The bad news as well as the good news is that I'll get a return on my taxes.

It is amazing how much fun one can have with a betta fish and a mirror.

Aha! I see. I suppose your pet always won as the other fish always went away in the end.

QuoteIn medieval Europe, the pelican was thought to be particularly attentive to her young, to the point of providing her own blood by wounding her own breast when no other food was available. As a result, the pelican became a symbol of the Passion of Jesus and of the Eucharist. A reference to this mythical characteristic is contained for example in the hymn by Saint Thomas Aquinas, "Adoro te devote" or "Humbly We Adore Thee", where in the penultimate verse he describes Christ as the "loving divine pelican".

Christ is the "loving divine pelican."
Ah those whacky christians.
I would have named him otherwise, disease shedding carcass perhaps.

*Snort!*

Oh man, I feel out of shape.  Took T to the pool on Saturday, and was playing a game where I would throw a ball and then we would race to go get it.  This was in the very shallow end, so I was basically pulling myself through the water with my arms (picture Ariel sitting on that rock while the waves crash around her, that was the position I was in as I dragged my - disease shedding - carcass through the water.) (Like this: http://wwwguilty-with-an-explanation.blogspot.com/2009/08/princess-ariel-is-alive-and-well-and.html) Anyway, now my back around my shoulder blades is killing me.

Tank, I'm afraid to ask, but what is your avatar?  :o

Ali, I know how you feel. I mowed our yard with one of those ancient non-motor powered push mowers yesterday, and I am defiantly feeling it today.

Ohmygosh!  :o I don't know what that thing is, but I THINK I like it, and want to pet it!  :D It's fluffy and hopping, it CAN'T be bad!

Yep. My lack of due concern and caution would have gotten me killed, had I lived with the sabertooth tigers. I would have said some dumbass thing like 'Ooooh, I think that one's purring!' and I would have been lunch.
