if there were no need for 'engineers from the quantum plenum' then we should not have any unanswered scientific questions.

My driver's ed course just showed me a picture of a stop sign and asked what it meant. WTF?
It sort of describes itself in big white letters, does it not?

And then if the white letters leave you any doubt, all the unfriendly extra red space may give you a hint.  ;D

Macy's.  Got 3 dresses for $60!

Not only deceptively nice but cheap to run, too.

I'm sleep deprived. Stuff in my head keeps me up late into the night, work/kid/other stuff keep me up through the day. Somedays are more clear than others, today wasn't a clear day. There are literally things on/in my mind that won't shut up and I need them to because I need sleep. Sigh.

Got the day off for sick leave. The infection is receding and I have fresh coffee. It is pouring down outside, but I don't have to go out.  8)

Have you tried talking books or documentaries, lectures, programs?
I find if I've got something to listen to I usually drift off.

I thought about it but I won't ask Guardian if there's some kinda leaking coffee pipeline outside.

I'm ill too, but I stupidly came into work and have struggled for two hours...but my boss just told me to go home and recuperate in bed for the rest of the day  :)

Aw... there, there!

A few years back, I did admin stuff on forums set up like this one, I was basically good for spam zapping.  :D http://www.stopforumspam.com/ was one of my favourite tools, it let me swing the ban stick Xena warrior princess style.  ;D

:D @ leaking coffee pipeline!

Yeah, most nights I fall asleep with my earbuds in my ears, playing a podcast or music. It drowns stuff out, and then it's basically just like falling asleep in a busy conference hall.  ;D

Spend a day at my school. If that doesn't put you in to sleep, nothing will.

Cut my hair last night!  I had let it grow really long (like, past my bra) and it was pretty but I was thoroughly sick of having all of this hair everywhere.  It's now just down to my shoulders in the front and just hits the back of my neck in the back.  So much lighter!

I love having my hair short. No having to deal with fitting it all under a helmet.  ;D

In other news, the GLBT resource center is holding a prom night for the youths in our area, and my best friend was extremely excited to go with her girlfriend. Well, long story short, their relationship ended up not working out so she was really bummed about not going to the prom (she refuses to go alone). So, I told her that I would go with her as her date so that she would be able to have a nice prom that she always wanted. I am a total noob at anything related to dances, as I always skip out on them. To be honest though, I'm pretty excited. I have a dress and shoes picked out and this is one of the rare times that I actually get to be girly and wear something fancy. What makes me happiest tough is seeing how happy and excited my friend is to be able to wear a suit and go to a formal dance.

We have been having quite a run of them lately, some more annoying than others.
