Four people found dead at house in Peterlee

QuoteFour people have been found dead at a house in Peterlee, County Durham.

The bodies of a man and three females were discovered after what police suspect was a firearms incident.

Officers were called to the house in Greenside Avenue, where a shotgun was found next to the man's body, at about 23:45 GMT on Sunday.

A Durham Police spokesman said a 19-year-old woman who had minor injuries to her wrist and shoulder was treated at hospital and later discharged.

The spokesman said the four dead people were related or known to each other and they were not looking for anyone else...

This will be interesting to watch as one of the victims was the ex-girlfriend of my eldest daughter's partner's brother. My daughter never met any of the deceased or the family.

Ooh, nice tenuous link.

My brother was at school with Levi Belfield (no joke). Anyone else know any evil psychopaths?

Yuck, these stories are best in fictional horror movies.

Yeah. An uncle (my mom's sister's husband) was a child molester who abused his sons, his grandsons and boys in his church (he was a lutheran minister). He always gave me the creeps, but I didn't find out why until I was an adult.

I'll admit I had to read that a few times.

Ah, yes. My grandfather on my father's side was a pedophile (he's dead now) and so is my uncle. I never met my grandfather (and I can't remember my uncle either), but I know he molested some members of my family.

I suspect you are asking this to be sarcastic.  But yeah, I went to school with (and knew a little bit from my Creative Writing Class) these guys:

Also, my brother's wife went to school with Eric Harris and Dyland Klebold and was in Columbine that day, hiding in the gym behind the bleachers.  I was up at college at that time, but knew many kids who went to that school, and spent the day agonizing over what was going on and what could be happening to my friends at the time.

So, sounds like a triple murder/suicide, and the woman who escaped had a scuffle with the murderer and survived.  What else has developed?

My great grandfather got a stay of execution from Vidkun Quisling during the war for stealing parts from a crashed german transport plane. This meant, of course, that he was sent to a hard labour prison in Luckau, Germany in stead.

So you are alive as a result of this stay of execution?

No, my grandmother had already been born.

That was fortunate.
