I did a lot of research tonight, and I learned some fascinating stuff about Islam I just didn't know before. I spoke with a couple Muslim friends, and I really like how they see God, so I decided to give it a chance and convert to Islam. Sorry HAF people, I'm sure this'll come as a surprise! But I'm very happy!

We've been needing a new Muslim.  I may look into Buddhism again.

BCE, thanks! I was reading the Qura'an tonight and there are some really awesome passages that a friend pointed out to me that talk about science and biology, it's amazing how much more detail there is than in the Bible! And Buddhism, eh? That's awesome! Buddhism is pretty cool.

Asmo, I'm still just really overwhelmed by my new faith. It's awesome. I mean, I was a nonbeliever so long, I kinda forgot how awesome faith can be. And it's really cool that there ARE virgins in the afterlife. If I'm faithful, I might get to spend some time with them! I'll definitely remember to share.

This is what I meant by the science. http://www.quranandscience.com/earth/263-quran-on-formation-of-clouds-and-rain.html

QuoteAllah says:

(And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].) (15:22)

Modern science has affirmed the scientific points mentioned in this verse of the Quran. The winds carry water particles which are rich in salt up into the atmosphere; these particles which are called 'aerosols' function as water traps and form cloud drops by collecting around the water vapor themselves.

This is awesome!

We have had an atheist/Satanist going through the conversion to Islam.  :-X

Yeah, Asmo got it right out of the gate, LOL. He kindly edited his post. Yay for me being a totally juvenile dweeb, ha.

I do believe I'll stay Muslim for a day, in honor of the day. *grin*

Bring on the shawarmas and the virgins!

Holy crap I almost had a heart attack!

I totally forgot it was April Fool's (my mother-in-law is staying with us, so that's been keeping me pre-occupied).
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

What's the normal thing for tomorrow when you leave the true faith?
Is it stoning?
Anyway I'm going start chipping some sharp edges into my stoning stones.
