I've been in hospital for the past two days and it's just hit me how ill I have actually been. I was admitted with severe abdominal pain and a dangerously low blood pressure. Turns out I have septicaemia (blood poisoning) and at one point I was in the resuscitation section of the hospital. Now I'm scared retrospectively about what could have happened!
Gosh! Are you in hospital now? Or back home yet?

Still in as on iv antibiotics still. At least I'm on a normal ward instead of the acute medicine one now.
And on the mend! What caused it? Do you know?

That's nasty CLT. You have any falls that resulted in cuts or cuts that were near grimy places?

Good grief, Claire!  That's nasty.  Here's hoping it clears up soon and doesn't spoil Xmas.

Wow Claire, that's terrible! Hope you feel better soon!

They're not 100% sure of the cause.  An old woman is trying to get me to go to chapel with her tomorrow! Really hope I'm out of here by then.

Go with her. Point and laugh. She won't ask again.

Very very glad you're on the mend, Clairliontamer, though it's a bit disconcerting that the cause of this episode hasn't been diagnosed. Several "helpful" questions come to mind, but I'll leave that to the professionals.

I'm not concerned with the source at all. I'm happy to have received excellent care and they swiftly got treatment started which has helped in the long run.

Firebird

That's awful Claire. Hope you're healed up soon. And that's so weird to have that happen with no obvious reason.

The problem is there are a few potential areas infected: chest infection,  peritonitis and kidneys have had trouble in the past. I've been generally unwell and 'fluey' for the past week but rapidly went downhill on Thursday.  I'm just falling apart!

Icarus

We are with you Claire. Please get well soon. The Scamp and all of us need you.   Tell the nice lady who wants to pray for you in the chapel, thanks but no thanks.  I know you as a nice lady and It would be beneath your dignity to tell her to ; stick it up her ass.  ;)

Not wishing Daisy become a punch ball in any way. But I sincerely hope that this illness is causing your ex at least a modicum of inconvenience after he buggered up you meeting Buddy et al a few weeks ago.

Well, as an indication what a complete twat he actually is he brought Daisy to see me in hospital yesterday and left her with me, the fact I'm ill and might not be able to entertain her didn't cross his mind....... the nurse bollocked him!

Good for the nurse.
Are you feeling any better today?

I'm glad you're on the mend.  I will be joining that nice old lady who wants to pray for you by discussing your situation with my cat.  The outcome won't be any different but at least we know DeeDee's listening.

Please describe this bollocking.  I can guess what the word means but I've never seen it in action.
