if there were no need for 'engineers from the quantum plenum' then we should not have any unanswered scientific questions.

I bawled my eyes out this morning. My grandson (L) has been staying here two or three nights a week for the last 6 months and going to a local play school so my daughter can work in Leeds. But it has proved untenable for lots of reasons. So today is probably Ls last day at the local play school. I dropped him off and when I got in my car I just about managed to hold it together until I got home. I'm gonna so miss not seeing the little chunk growing up.  :'(

((((Tank))))

Awww. I can tell you're an awesome grandpa. :)

Just got the word that my dad is coming home from Afghanistan a week earlier then planned. Always good news!

Awwwww. (((Tank))) Is he going to be close enough to you for regular visits at least?

G85 - Awesome about your dad! What was he doing there?

OldGit - I totally agree. While I may get cranky and miss solid sleep some days, I stand firm in my position that having T is still the best thing ever. Now to go wake him up and find out how he came to be sleeping on my bedroom floor...

"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

L lives about 80 miles away almost all motorway so it's not a difficult journey and we'll see him every other week at least. The nursery nurse who is his key worker (most responsible for him) was crying too when we collected him this afternoon. His mum and dad want to move to Leeds but it's so much more expensive here that can't afford it ATM.

I'm very glad to hear that you'll still see him on a regular basis.  You sound like such a loving and doting grandpa.

The Royal Norwegian Air Force maintains an aeromedical detachement in Mazar-E-Sharif. My dad is a systems operator (copilot) for their helicopters.

Do we dare to dream?

Well, I love the fact we've finally got an English manager.

And I also like the spirit we seem to be displaying. They don't seem to be the petulant queens that normally grace the field wearing three lions. Well done team. And if you don't beat Italy, I'm still proud.

Could be possible its not like we don't have the quality in terms of skill to do so.

Yeah I agree with the manager, hopefully he changes up the tactics a bit though so they aren't on the back foot so much as teams like Germany will abuse them for it. They should also change Welbeck to the lead striker like he has been at Man U as Rooneys finishing hasn't been good for a good while but his passes have been amazing and is pretty much impossible to knock off a ball, Also they could do with giving Heart a bit of command at the back.
