I'll come back another day.

All kidding aside I was thinking of you today Mags since you are our resident El Salvadorian.

Earlier this afternoon I was wrapping some gifts and this particular piece was sort of a pain to wrap, but isn't it pretty?

I bought it this past weekend in this tiny shop in town, handmade in El Salvador. I like it because the legs are actually made from branches of the tree, and have the outer bark still on them, and also I love the bright colors and simple design of the artwork, it's a small stool or foot rest.

It was a pain to wrap though, and the bloody paper was too thin, anyway this is the best I could do,.. I need to put a bow around it, and I'll have to stop by a shop on my way home as for some reason I didn't have any bow material here in the office. Meh...

Update: 0800 03022017

Mags is still at it, too busy to make her way back to the forum;  apparently she didn't last long in the "Chinese Fortune Bakery", too many customers were complaining of receiving fortune cookies that read, " God isn't real, when you die your dead...deal with it" or "Everyone you know wishes they hadn't met you" or "Avoid the following colors: Red, Blue, Green, or any mixture of those."

Anyway now she's working at the University teaching fraternity brothers how to separate the whites from the darks in their laundry.

Some of my socks have little holes in them.  :embarrassed:

Oh, we were talking about something else. Nevermind.

As the famous philosopher Steven Wright once said, "It's not the colour of the sock which is important, it's the thickness."
"Some people just need a high-five. In the face. With a chair."

Dave

Nah, colour is important.

Having all black socks, from the same source, I never need to worry about which colour to wear with which trousers. And when the hole gets too big for comfort I can chuck the single sock - it will get a mate when another sock gets the boot. No sock matching required, just chuck 'em all in the draw and grab any two when needed!

Need thickness?  Wear two (or more) pairs at once!

At 72 I could be a grandpa! Don't think I am though . . .

Other things grandpas might do:
Make meals that can be eaten from a bowl with a spoon.
Make meals that only need one pan.
Dislike summer 'cos you have to iron shirts.

Any more?

My muscles have been feeling like they are tearing for the past couple days. It may be because I'm taking Vitamin D supplements which increases testosterone so maybe it's working like a steroid. Or it could be the new routine I've put myself in is more strenuous than before.

However I do like how I look in the mirror when I FLEX on 'em.
