It's the forum itself that "speaks" British English. Somebody () set it that way sometime shortly after  the Asmodeanian revival, and it's remained that way ever since.

First world problem I admit, but it's a bloody annoying factor of modern life that if you don't download a voucher for a restaurant you are the mug who's paying full price.

Yep! For me it's totally counter productive marketing. I go out of my way to avoid places if I haven't downloaded the voucher!
