Cut my hair last night!  I had let it grow really long (like, past my bra) and it was pretty but I was thoroughly sick of having all of this hair everywhere.  It's now just down to my shoulders in the front and just hits the back of my neck in the back.  So much lighter!

I love having my hair short. No having to deal with fitting it all under a helmet.  ;D

In other news, the GLBT resource center is holding a prom night for the youths in our area, and my best friend was extremely excited to go with her girlfriend. Well, long story short, their relationship ended up not working out so she was really bummed about not going to the prom (she refuses to go alone). So, I told her that I would go with her as her date so that she would be able to have a nice prom that she always wanted. I am a total noob at anything related to dances, as I always skip out on them. To be honest though, I'm pretty excited. I have a dress and shoes picked out and this is one of the rare times that I actually get to be girly and wear something fancy. What makes me happiest tough is seeing how happy and excited my friend is to be able to wear a suit and go to a formal dance.

This is SO awesome! Good for you, you're a great friend to do that with her, and I bet you both will have a wonderful time!  ;D

Have you tried talking books or documentaries, lectures, programs?
I find if I've got something to listen to I usually drift off.

I thought about it but I won't ask Guardian if there's some kinda leaking coffee pipeline outside.

Whatever it was, I didn't do it!  ;D

Yes, there is a pipeline leaking coffee. Directly into my house, then into a bag, because I've got a coffee IV drip. My blood type IS coffee.  ;D

That's awesome!  I bet you guys will have a blast; in retrospect I would have had MUCH more fun at my highschool dances if I had gone with my best friend instead of the stupid boys I picked (note: I understand not all males are stupid, just all of the males I decided to date in high school.)

Aw... there, there!

A few years back, I did admin stuff on forums set up like this one, I was basically good for spam zapping.  :D http://www.stopforumspam.com/ was one of my favourite tools, it let me swing the ban stick Xena warrior princess style.  ;D
I have no idea where I would be if it wasn't SFS!

None. They're piles of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) spammers but if an IP resolves to China or Russia it gets zapped without question.

I figured it was something techy that I wouldn't understand, so I just listed it as Russian porn.

I'm sitting in the same seat of the same classroom that I was in when I found this forum. Aahh the nostalgia.

You need to make sure that the Asmos are dressed in leather when they swarm.  That's a great mental picture - little gray balls wearing shiny leather suits and big pointy teeth.

ETA:  I've sort of made a game out of guessing which new users are real based on their user names.  Every time I look at that "newest user" field on the home page, it seems like there is a new name.  Most of them are obviously spammers, but some of them make you think "well maybe."

my sis got a little pet Guinea Pig last night. It's about 7 weeks old and it's tiny and rly cute :3
