Took T to Pirate's Quest last night.  Was a blast; and he got lots of booty (which he is proudly wearing today.)  Please no "getting lots of booty" jokes - this is my 3 year old we're talking about! (And I do know how you pervs love a double entendre)

He's adorable! Can my 3 year old date your 3 year old? She'd love a handsome little pirate!  :D

Absolutely!  Let's start a new breed of heathens...:D

Sounds good to me!  ;D

On my mind right now: I am so glad I got the damned smoke alarm thing sorted out from last night... it went on until the wee hours of this morning. Across the house, 3 or 4 of them were emitting low battery signals, including the Co2 alarm. My girl wouldn't sleep, my cat wouldn't sleep, I couldn't sleep... Got all new batteries today, problem solved. Eh, at least the cat and A both got great mirth out of watching me try to balance on a 3-stepped stepstool when I suck at balance!  ;)

I'm sorry to hear that. My last grandparent died a long time ago, but I still remember how painful it was.

Yes condolences RunFromMyLife.
I didn't feel much when my grandparents died, they were mostly far away, or not all that nice, or there were other grand children to favour.  I hope if I have grand children they won't think think I'm irrelevant.
Congratulations RunFromMyLife for having a grandfather worthy of morning.

I have lost both kinds of grandparents.  I lost two grandmothers that I loved very much, and I have lost one grandfather that, for reasons that stretched back to before I was born, I barely knew and had only met maybe a total of 3 times in my life.  I have one living grandpa and now a step-grandmother that I love, so I guess 4 out of 5 ain't a bad average.  I'm very pleased that so far both sets of his grandparents have been very active and important in T's life.

The only safe way for me to pilot a plane is on Google Earth. And even then I still crash!  :D

I wish I was a pilot.

I know these guys! For a very brief period (when they were known as the Heavy Metal Jet Team), they were based out of the airport where I live. I did a bunch of photos of them for an airshow. I think I even may have posted a few of them on the forum here somewhere. They've now added that second MiG, and it's so cool. They moved out recently, to go to warmer climes. Winter here sucks.

P.S. I was a military aviator in what seems a lifetime ago.

Amazing! Do you still fly (i don't know the proper terminology so feel free to correct me if that's incorrect)?

You have the terminology just right. I haven't taken up a plane in about three years. Prior to that I was in the air a lot. And back in the day, ALL the freaking time!

Having time and money simultaneously are key to continual flying. With kids in college and high school, I haven't had either time or money at the same time for a while.  >:(
Plus, I've been spending my disposable income and time on photography (since I do that nights and weekends for a sports photography company).

But I will probably get current in the next two years in at least one or two Robinson Helicopters. I've had offers for work locally (I'm right by an airport with a helicopter school and could do some instruction on weekends there).
