Future Farmers of America

I grew up living in the sticks outside of a very small town whose main economy is based on dairy farming, where the FFA was pretty important (this was several decades ago). I think they are actually a good organization, but it seems natural that most of the chapters would be more or less conservative, in both religion and politics.

From what I understand, they changed it a few years ago from Future Farmers of America to just FFA. Something about making it more inclusive for city kids. I enjoy the program as well, but being in a room full of more or less fundamentals who don't know when to shut up get's a little taxing on ones nerves.

I would go mad in your situation. I am very impressed that you keep your cool effectively.

Good luck, DJ!

Thanks guys!
I was feeling pretty crappy yesterday, but am feeling much more optimistic about it all today Plus, this means I get to see my little rugrat and Fella more often and that's always a good thing.

That's great that you're happy. I'm sure the little one will enjoy the extra time. :)

For me? And I haven't even reached my 1000th post yet!

Not to fixate on the negative, but I had a shift for the first time since I gave my notice today.

The first co-worker I ran into greeted me with a "Hey, Traitor"
Yep. Glad I'm leaving.
