In this wave of Islamaphobia I think it would be interesting to see how many Christians can really tell the difference between the average Bible verse and Koran verse. So I'm trying to put together a selection of verses where any willing participants can mix and match verses to books. Any contributions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  :)

1. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword.
2. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
3. And when there cometh unto them a scripture from God, confirming that in their possession - though before that they were asking for a signal triumph over those who disbelieved - and when there cometh unto them that which they know (to be the truth) they disbelieve therein. The curse of God is on disbelievers.
4. Save those who repent before ye overpower them. For know that God is Forgiving, Merciful.
5. Whoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward is hell for ever
6. Samaria shall bear her guilt, because she has rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword, their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.
7. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.' " … He took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and all his people he totally destroyed with the sword
8. But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou also incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth all things.
9. Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Jahaz. And Jehovah our God delivered him up before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people. And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining.

I passed, even considering the verses I was not familiar with. The Koran tends to talk more about the "doom" of the unbelievers while the Old Testament tells more of a story.

Although I've never read the Koran, I passed.

Hehe, great post! This is one of those 'in your face' things you can give to raving islamophobes. Probably won't make much difference other than making you feel better, though.
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.

My suggestion is, if you're going to put a reasonable-sounding quote from the Koran, like #8, then you should also include something reasonable-sounding from the Bible.

I'd say make it half reasonable-sounding and half horrifying, but there aren't enough reasonable-sounding Koran verses to make that happen.

Hmmm. Bible vs. Koran? It's like comparing cat crap to dog shit. Nuff said!
