("...share the rum then I could write more..." loving this thread, adding "...um, what's on my mind now...")

repost from elsewhere

QuoteI like your thread goblin

"...nah, this isn't my thread either, it's just a "last post" thread here, anyone can post to it..." replied the goblin who wanted to openly share this thread then, saying "...the trouble with me is that there are two of us, one me who writes directly between brackets where things generally fall foul to those slings and arrows of outrageous dyslexia, and then there is that other me, who reposts stuff that has been clearly ironed out with some matching picture added, basically the "publishing" me, against the "posting" me perhaps, where both have their merits/demerits then...", simply, the goblin, in his madness, actually believed that here was a "journey to self" then, and yes, true the goblin had seen his dailylife for the rat-race it actually was, and yet, instead of "stopping to smell the flowers on the way" as he should, he was now writing about those same flowers then, as if the rat-race itself had been replaced by the rat's very own freestyle composition with matching picture in less that 50 words please benchmark here, meaning that either way, the rat just scurried on it seemed totally unable to stop itself

repost from elsewhere, the trolls site's "last post" thread again

"...wow, fanmail, great start..." went the goblin, who then explained something, saying "...no, the real difference between you trolls and me is that you try to get banned on sites, succeed, and get banned for it, whereas I try to remain on those sites, fail, and get banned for it...", for alas deep meaningful posts are not appreciated it seems, especially on writer's forums

If some one will distract him when he comes in tomorrow, I will whack him with my cricket bat.
Then we can take a star each.
He's asking for it, flaunting his shiny baubles while we suffer without a single star.

Wow those exercises are really making a difference, but do you think you could hold a copy of Zarathustra?
Then when dear old Sophus starts pointing out where Nietzsche got it wrong, I'll clobber him.

QuoteRome wasn't built in a day...

"...rome fell in a year, and from within too, simply the western empire didn't really matter and it was not missed much either..." mentioned the goblin now, adding "...and america too, worries me much now, as if a hand appeared out of thin air and was now writing the words mene, mene, tekel u-pharsin upon the wall's surface..."

quite unsurprisingly, the livewriters mostly get banned from writer's sites much like heretics would be burned, they seem an affront to the established book writing techniques, "...well maybe we are too, I mean you've seen both the posts and the hitcount to them, so why can't they, with all their fancy credentials that is, ever match these livewriter's threads themselves, I mean why is it our threads that everyone turns up on, for do they ever illustrate their posts, use third person in their post, repost in a air/edit/backup context, in short do they livewrite at all I wonder and dare they claim that their posts have anything to show for it, no oh no, all their effort is channeled into their books again, while their posts remain like some cinderella to their published stuff..." laughed the goblin smiling further, saying "...ah but not me, you see the truth is that all this might look haphazard to you here, but no, I never let my guard down now, not even in a PM that is, for to write in posts means exactly that then, simply "one is book" here where they are still so very books elsewhere now..."

"...sorry if I'm not very intellectual tonight, been fighting writers again, usual crap, "you're perfectly welcome here as long as you conform to our rules then", where the rules always seem to be tuck your stuff away in a blog somewhere and let nanny edit you, where it turns out that nanny think he's god because the grammar is godlier and because he has some published record somewhere, in other words he knows absolutely nothing about either posting, or being read on forumland here, here a typical example of the daily stuff I go through then..." mentioned the goblin sticking it below

Heya, flea,
Please do not bump older threads, as that is not allowed, such as your intro thread that has now been closed. The Introduce Yourself board has the specific purpose of allowing new members to arrive and be greeted, not for people to post writing. It's also in your best interest to tone down the goblin act a bit. Posting giant posts in the "What song are you listening to?" thread, for instance, where people typically drop the name of the song and little more. If you relaxed your goblin act a bit, I bet you'd find people more responsive. I'd like to bring to your attention the blog function which you can find at the top of the page. This is the perfect venue for some of your writing. You're certainly welcome here as a member, but the site has rules that everyone must abide by for it to function. It's a great idea for you to post some of your stuff in the Fiction or Writer's Workshop boards as we have quite a few experienced writers who love to help edit.

thank you
xxxxx

in fact the troll valhalla site, the trolls there, and their writing style had flashed back in the goblin's mind his school days once more, simply the goblin remembered the time when he had turned up at some bible reading session at the bequest of his then girlfriend who, like all girlfriends of the time, probably saw their boyfriend as some cross between ones shopping accessory and ones very own pet "man friday", not that the goblin minded nor understood any of that, he was after all, besotted, desperate, or both, only that the moment the bible itself was ceremoniously passed to him to read in his turn he realized that he couldn't see the actual words for something he had smoked the night before, so out came those improvised words "sorry, I am a dyslexic but this is a cross that he hath given me to bear here everyone hallelujah" as the goblin then passed the bible to the next person in the now somewhat jaw dropped line of Bible readers, and perhaps those dilated pupils probably gave the game away too, so it was little wonder that she, there and then, dumped the heartbroken goblin to make her conquests elsewhere, just that the goblin, for his part, never smoked after that, pity

Yikes, that's absolutely awful!  I'm surprised you haven't left in a tiff.
