if there were no need for 'engineers from the quantum plenum' then we should not have any unanswered scientific questions.

Quote from: "The Magic Pudding"I resist liking cats, they don't belong on this continent and they kill too many things that do.
Me too, but I need the rodent control to keep from being overrun with rats.  With 30+ acres of soy behind me and cows next door, rats become a first-rate problem.
All hail Cancer Jesus!

I found a copperhead's shed skin today.  I think he lives in my dead corn.
All hail Cancer Jesus!

The Magic Pudding

I once found a 2 litre juice bottle in the shed, it was half full on dead mice in various stages of decomposition.
I have a found snake snake skin in the roof, and a whole snake between two pavers I was carrying.

I'm jealous.

What kind of snake?  I wouldn't be worried about it if not for the fact I have to do something about the corn and I don't want to be bitten or get my kids bitten.
All hail Cancer Jesus!

Yes, I should try to recreate this, you have to position the bottle upright, and enable access by the mice, some peanut butter might help.

I don't know about the skin, the one in the pavers was a red belly black snake, too small to be dangerous.
Black snakes, green tree snakes and pythons are common here.
Of those only the blacks are venomous, but timid.
Tiger snakes have been found nearby and browns inland a bit, but I'd rather not think of them.
How old are the kids?
You do have to learn to look where you're going, most people only get bitten after treading on the snake.

The kids are old enough to know better, but young enough to think htey can manage to catch him anyway.
All hail Cancer Jesus!

If I go into a bushy area I wear boots and wear long pants, kind of puffed out.
Snake bites may not make the news because people don't often die, but they can be very sick for a long time.
