God is a cake, and we all know what the cake is.

(my spelling, grammer, and punctuation suck, I know, but regardless of how much I read they haven't improved much since grade school. It's actually a bit of a family joke.

I'm reworking my resume and it's frustrating the shit out of me.  Currently, it's in the chronological format, but given my employment was spotty at best while I was in grad school, I'm making the jump to the functional resume format, which I hope will serve me better.  My problem is that I've worked in so many varied area over the years that I don't know how to condense that into just a few skill sets.  Computer skills is right up there, but I've worked in food service, retail, home care, and those things all required very different skill sets.

I won't judge you, but next time you question the validity my posting, I will have a retort ready.
Something clever like "ye well you eat containerised frosting with a spoon" :)

List your key skills and for each one give supporting experience, education and experience. Create these as paragraphs and for each application order the paragraphs in the most appropriate order for the position you are applying for. Does that help.
If you want direct advice start a thread about it.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Hubby (deekayfry) just got off his interview in Nebraska.  Now the waiting game begins.

I hate waiting.

I hate motor registry photos,  I was just getting used to the last one and now they give me a worse one.
I know a good atheist should embrace reality but I don't want to.

So when I got home an hour ago, my mom noticed my shirt was on inside-out, and voiced that realization it in the most I-know-you-were-doing-bad-things way possible.  The shirt is a really light thing, easy to mess up, worn over a T-shirt.  She saw me before I left earlier, while it was still tucked and outside-out, and she knows I'm not seeing any girls right now.  Pretty sure she suspects I've been out with a guy, which is the truth (and I don't feel at all guilty for).  Arg.  That's going to make for one really awkward conversation if and when it comes up.  I'm serious guys, atheism is a rational position, so I used logic when my parents confronted me and I didn't want to keep the ruse up anymore.  Being a bi-guy?  You can't say that everyone would be gay if they had a bit more sense or hadn't been indoctrinated to be straight.  The only reason I am the way that I am is because I am that way.  It's not a product of rational consideration, or a position reached via an honest review of the (lack of) evidence supporting heterosexuality.  So knowing her, it's going to be all pathos and I have nothing to fall back on.  Or I could talk to a friendly gal I know from the bar (a lesbian) and ask her to please, please, please help me stay in closet at my mother's house by pretending we get at it on Thursdays.   :brick:

Mind you, it just sounds awesome.  In truth, all I got was a maxed out credit card, a small medal and my name on the stage for a few seconds :)

I need to figure out how to let my mind and emotions take a vacation...unfortunately the only way I know how to do that is to actually take a vacation to a beach because I find beaches extremely calming.

PipeBox

So go visit a beach this weekend.  You can't be more than a few hours from one, right?   :)
