Your blog predates mine! But it's all good, I think atheists should read as much of the Bible as possible. I'm almost through Genesis, and practically every individual line is a great refutation of anyone claiming the Bible is a good basis for morality.
I like that after the flood, the first thing that Noah does is plant a vineyard because, when you're one of eight people left in the world and you have to repopulate the earth with your 600+ year old wife, that's when you really need a drink, isn't it?

I'm most of the way through Deuteronomy (I just haven't written blog posts that far yet), and I absolutely agree. I don't understand how anyone can point to this book and say there's a loving god out there who wants good things for us.
