AtheistInEden

I've been an atheist since before I knew such a label existed, but I've only recently started to really embrace my atheism and seek out other atheists. I'm looking forward to exploring the forum and connecting with like-minded people. Like a lot of atheists, I don't have many people in my life who I can talk to about my lack of belief, and I'm going to need a place to vent the next time my mother-in-law suggests I go to church.

I started reading the bible a few months ago because the stories have always fascinated me. I'm blogging through it (and poking a little fun at it) here. (I just took a look around this forum and noticed A Heathen With a Bible, who runs a similar blog, further down the page. I guess I wasn't as clever as I thought! I'll for sure be checking out her site.)

Anyway, I'm glad to be here!

Magic Pudding, I swear, it's like the woman has gone out of her way to be the perfect stereotypical mother-in-law.

I'm actually the wife, but yes, I do love my husband enough to put up with his wacko mother, haha.

My eldest daughter has just moved in with her partner and is 5 minutes walk from her MIL, I can see eruptions in the future as my daughter has less tact than me and that is not a good thing as I have all the tack of an African Bull elephant in the mating season

No worries, I do the same thing!

Best of luck to your daughter. I'm kind of lacking in the tact department myself, and it's damn hard to bite my tongue sometimes.

Tank mistook my gender, I don't blame him.
It's only natural to interpret the sensitivity, subtlety and caring expressed in my posts as feminine.

I like your blog, I started a "Funniest, most ridiculous aspects of religion" thread in the Religion Section, maybe you could add something.
