Kylyssa

Quote from: "KDbeads"I want a tank again now.  We used to have a 75 gallon with green severums, angels, jurapari, pearls, and a couple other south American cichlids.  We just live so far out now that I really don't think most fish would make the trip back to the house.  Plus I'd need to get another tank....

How far would you have to travel?  I've transported fish with no losses as far as 400 miles.  I use a large rubbermaid tub with holes punched in the top so I can feed the battery powered bubbler in.  You could even use a regular bubbler or powerhead if you get a power converter for your car's cigarette lighter/power plug.

Porky

Yes, his head is poking out of the water in that one.[/spoiler:3k29kxoa]

Fatbat
[spoiler:3k29kxoa]...at my ex-husband's house, snuggling a teddy bear.

...in his Halloween costume

Fatbat turned 21 in March but he's still going strong.  He's mostly blind from cataracts but he runs around like he can see.  He's the most physically active cat in my apartment.[/spoiler:3k29kxoa]

Rupert
[spoiler:3k29kxoa]OK, technically Rupert isn't my cat, he's Cyrille's but he spends a few hours a day on my lap and we live together.

He loves to get into my overnight bag.

You can see his fan page here.[/spoiler:3k29kxoa]

Vanessa
[spoiler:3k29kxoa]Vannie is Cyrille's too, but I'm still Van's secondary slave.  She looked cuter in the reindeer antlers than I did.

I need to put up some pictures of Ellen, my hippo tang and Purple Bastard, my purple tang.

For a decent selection we'd have to go at least 100 miles, it stays so hot here most of the year I'm afraid the water would get too hot during transport.  We'd have to use the big truck that has no AC to do this in, the little pick-up has NO room in it.  Plus we are looking at discus for the next time we start up, from what I've heard they are notoriously prone to keeling over in stressful moves.  Though if we find a place that has jurapari that might change our minds.

LOVE Fatbat :D

Well, okay. Here's my new little pal. His name is Ben Reilly. I named him after a jazz drummer. He's a tuxedo cat, they tell me. He's a hell of a prospect.

He's bigger now, that picture was taken a few weeks ago. He's a good little friend, but he's kind of nuts.

He has a tail but you can't see it in the picture. He's going to have his balls cut off next week. Gotta do it, you know.

Isn't it weird that it's illegal to castrate male dogs in Norway when it's so encouraged in the U.S.?

Dinah, who died just a couple weeks ago....and Apollo, who I should have named Bullet or Pinball cause he never does anything slow.

The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

Thanks. She was nearly 16 years old.
