If necessary I'll just change the email address....typically the only people who use it are people who are bitching about getting banned.

Apparently once an order has been placed, you can't cancel it. Nethertheless, I'll file an official complaint.

So did you ever get the CD/DVD? What did you think?

I'm finishing up a paper on the problem of evil for my philosophy of religion class.  Richard Dawkins has figured prominently in it.  None the less, I am relieved to be finishing.

Anyone as conflicted as me about what group they fit into?

For instance, I love to watch Glenn Beck because he brings a lot of pertinent fats to the table and I totally agree with him until he starts to ge into the whole religious foundations of the country, what the founding fathers thought and the other god crap. This is just one but it happens daily.

I'm with George Washington on not liking the party system, but I also like to extend it to the liberal/conservative bullshit too. By "pertinent facts" you mean shit he pulls from his ass? All the guys arguments are the exact same bullshit that Christians use to "prove" the existence of god.

For instance: Glenn Beck went on this huge rant down bullshit lane about how any news studio that records in Rockefeller Center were communists because of some artwork on the sides of some of the buildings had farmers farming and the Soviet communists used images of farmers farming too... so that correlation must mean that they're communists right? To make it worse, his own studio is in Rockefeller Center.

Glenn Beck's mind is a steaming pile of horse dung, to put it mildly.  ;)

I ignore that sort of stuff. I mostly watch/listen to the explanations and connections of what's really going on in congress and the political core of the show all the other stuff is well like elliebean put it a steaming pile of horse dung.

I was more pointing to that every time I find a group that I feel I associate myself with best I find that some of their core ideology I can't deal with. Such as Republican, I find my self on the right but not the religious bs, left i never really agree with, liberterian idea of immigration and a ton others.

All that stuff is equal bullshit, the "connections" are just similarities, like: "Hitler liked to eat steak, and Bush liked to eat steak so therefore Bush is as bad as Hitler." If you break down the "connections" then this is how the argument goes: If A has one thing in common with B, Then A is just like B, A has one thing in common with B: Therefore A is just like B.

For the second thing, don't join a group. I'm against the political parties because a party doesn't do things for the benefit of the people, the party does things for the benefit of the party. Think for yourself and question authority. Question all authority especially the authority you trust, because the most dangerous authority is the one you don't question.

Agreed.  Watching Glenn Beck is like watching a mentally challenged person throw  fit, cry, then demand even more attention by sharing wacky ideas that are supposed to be made more believable because they're written on a chalk board and circled a bunch.  He's a joke and his only real concern regarding Americans is how many of the stupid/gullible ones are going to buy into his shtick and give him monetary support.

I never fit in to any political affiliation either. My core values are pretty solidly anarchistic, but I don't see myself fitting in with many anarchists when you get into the nuts and bolts of it - mostly because I have trouble even comprehending it. It would help if I knew anyone personally who was well versed in anarchist theory enough to predigest it for me. I used to try to study it on my own, but I gave up that fight long ago, when I first started to notice my rapidly diminishing atten........ is anyone else hugry? I just realized I skipped lunch......  :P

The people I do get along with socially tend to be anywhere from left-of-center democrats to more of a leftist - socialist - communist mentality, but again, I find more in common with them in practise than in theory. Of course I get along with everyone as long as they're respectful towards other people.
