Don't you just love government inefficiency!  Sorry to hear about your visa troubles, Tom.  I hope you get things squared away soon.

Well I'm not much into alcohol, being underaged and all but I am currently enjoying a Monster BFC and a bag of Planters roasted sunflower seeds. On my mind? Well I'd say Call of Duty MW2, as I have been having a very good luck streak for the past few days. (Broke a 1.01 ratio if anyone cares). And I've also been thinking of ways to continue a story I am working on. Nothing definite, just a page or two.

That, and girl problems. (I swear, if I found the same sex attractive I'd go gay in a second, there's way too much drama in high school.)

I just watched it and can't get it out of my head. Creepy!

Well right now I feel kinda lonely so I just felt like joining an amiable thread so here goes, I spend alot of time reading and watching videos. Has anyone heard of "zero punctuation", it's a series of game reviews made by a fast talking anglo-australian man who seems to trash every game in existence and is hilarious while doing so. :pop:

You have to go somewhere to have a bloodsugar test? Why? :hmm:

Haha, I've seen all of Yahtzee's videos! My favorite would have to be the one that reviews "Gears of War 2" Link provided

The doctor thinks I might, just might, have diabetes. I know, I know. I'll definitely make it a point to go tomorrow. Promise.

A friend of mine (who's sitting on my couch editing her thesis after her defense yesterday, incidentally) went through something (I'm assuming) similar. She went in for something and they kept talking about her diabetes. She would say, "What's wrong with you people? I don't have diabetes. I've never been diagnosed with diabetes. Quit talking about "MY" diabetes!"

Turns out, she's got it, it was just never established, but those doctors and nurses took one look at her charts and knew it.  :shake:

On another note, I've been sick all week. I probably stink. I really should take a shower.

(My partner has been a type 1 diabetic for 21 years; she was diagnosed at age eight.)

Well if I have it it'll be type 2. The thing is I have no symptoms, and before I saw my doctor I'd had about six cups of coffee, and I put a lot of sugar in my coffee so that right there could have made it look like I had a lot of sugar in my blood.

Still, I'm going tomorrow. The damn test takes two hours.

And I guess it's not all that bad. At least it's not getting a haircut, or going to the dentist.

im thinking im a bit disappointed in final fantasy 13 so far. grant it im only 2 hours into it but.... the only real decision i have made in this game is when to take a healing potion. if i could have an auto attack feature and plug in when my character takes a potion (judging by his/her health bar)i wouldnt even need to be here. i have all these characters but i can only control one at a time, and thats not even my decision..

blah, there still is a bit of a fun factor to it though.

and the story is kinda lame and cheesy. but i fully expected that.

The game starts getting fun when you get into using the Paradigms.  However, I can see how some people may not like the game.  I fully admit that I am a final fantasy fangirl, so I like the games almost by default.  Except for X-2, that game is garbage.

Personally I would love to see a new FF Tactics for a console.  I'm not much of a hand held gamer and it annoys me that tactics has seemed to be banished to the hand held platform forever.   :verysad:

ha just as soon as i posted that the paragidamids... yeah those popped up. also the crystal paths, which i kinda understand. so my satisfaction level has been raised now.

i only have final fantasy 7 and 10 experience. so none of this is really new to me, but it is different in some ways.
