I had been laughing uncontrollably just now, but this thread sobered me right up.

It's time to go watch something that will make me cry.

I know i live in the city of cycles but this is ridiculous! My second bike stolen this year  :shake:

Problem is, if i booby-trap a bike, i'll be the one who gets prosecuted!!

First day of school for my 9yo son... 5th grade.  <sigh> and 7th grade math... bigger sigh.  I want him to grow up... but I want him to say young.  Being a mom is a hard job, the hardest I've ever had.

Got back from vacation today. My round trip through the Southwest USA (Nevada, California, Arizona and Utah) was truly awesome. My personal highlights were the National Parks, especially Death Valley, Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon; as well as the city of San Francisco. Las Vegas was too noisy and flashy for my "taste buds".

Trying to get the AC fixed in my GF's car today.  We bought a part yesterday and took it to a shop to get it put in.  She calls me to pick her up, I get her, and we get home.  I sit down at the computer and the mechanic calls.  It turns out the part is bad, Pepboys tried to fix the same part off of someone else's car and sell it as new.

No, the deal that we made with the travel agency was that they provided us with the route description, rental car (with GPS) and the hotels. Next time we will organize everything ourselves, because some of the hotels were not so good or badly located and the travel schedule was very hectic.

Someone has opened up my car twice in the last month or so.  I don't know exactly how they are unlocking it...they either have a thing that sends a code like the keyless entry or get in the old fashion way with that bar that goes into the door.  The first time they took the GPS that I had forgotten to take inside; last time they just made a mess of all the useless papers I had collected in the car.  So, next big purchase is a car alarm to scare people off when they get into the car.  What is troublesome about the last time is it happened within the 30 minutes of my husband leaving for work and then me leaving for work...he said my car door was not wide open when he left but it was when I left.  I don't particularly like the idea of potentially catching someone in the act.

What movie did you watch?  I haven't cried in years (being a guy no surprise) but last time I remember crying over a movie was when I was ... 14, 15, and it was the ending of The Green Mile.  I wonder if it would still do that today?  Proally not.

I had tears in my eyes when I watched a 9/11 documentary on TV last night. The images of people jumping out of the windows of the WTC was too much for me.
