Quote from: "quizlixx"Relating to video games, i went to the store and bought Prototype for the 360. It is great so far, nothing like taking control of an unstoppable killing machine with limitless power.   :yay:
I know I've heard that discription before....I just can't seem to remember, I think ther was someting about Alpha and Omega in there somewhere....hmm oh well I guess it doesn't matter I do remember it was fiction and not a terrible good story anyway, lots of inconsistencies and such.

SWEEEET!

I'm actually waiting for Mass Effect 2. I loved Mass Effect with all its morality rotting lesbian sex. Hoping for more in the sequel.

Also, I play pokemon. I get lots of odd looks at the gym when I'm sweating buckets, doing hills on the bike and shout "HELL YES, SHINY PIDGEY!"

Oh man Pokemon. That reminded me. I've got all pokemon games since the first two game out like yeeeears ago in the UK. I'm so excited for SoulSilver and HeartGold. Not too fond on HG's name but i'll grow on me I'm sure.

I also got Prototype for the 360 a few days ago. Loving it too. Theres just something about running around as a hooded dude fucking up a city that makes me happy. I also got that new Star Ocean game for the 360 and some Breath of Fire game for the PS2. Dragon Quarter or something. Haven't played the latter two yet but I hope to try today at somestage.

Yeah, I get looks and comments from the other moms at my son's school for playing Pokemon while in carline or when waiting for him at Taekwondo and swimming lessons.  "YOU play POKEMON?!?!"  <cue laughter>

But they weren't laughing when I supervised the Pokemon Card Club (once a month, they can play and trade on their DSs) once a week at the school.  :headbang:

Who doesn't play pokemon on the gameboy? Best game for the system in my opinion, except for "professor layton and the curious village" on the DS

I LOVED Professor Layton!  My only problem was I finished it in 3 days and then there was nothing more to do.  My son loves it, plays it over and over again.

You may be shocked to know that there is not ONE OTHER MOM at my son's school who plays on a Gameboy/DS, much LESS plays Pokemon (cards or game).  And it's a very small school, I know over half of the parents there.  I'm the quirky atheist who is rotting my son's brain by letting him play (1 hour a day... geez).

The funny thing is, 2 kids in my son's class told him they play FPSs with their dad's all the time, including Mortal Kombat.  We have some driving game that uses a pedal and big steering wheel attachment thing and when a car flips or crashes, the guy flies out.  We just don't play the FPS games here.  I guess WoW could be considered violent... okay, it is from a child's POV.  But his time on that game has been a total of maybe 2 hours.  He likes to create characters, run around their starting area for 10 minutes, then delete it and start a new one.  LOL!  Same thing he did with Pokemon when he first started playing it 5 years ago.

Anyway, I'm the odd mom out with my DS in hand.  I also love Brain Age and other puzzle games for the DS... keeps the mind sharp.  Kinda.

I'm not a gamer -- I play chess all the time, though, and occasionally some games on our PS2.  Lately though, I've been in the mood to play a real fun and simple action game, just to have something to play that doesn't require much thought.  I don't know, maybe a good aircraft or spacecraft shooting game, or just something easy to learn and fun to play.

I know that's vague, but does anybody have any suggestions?

The only online game I play these days are Left 4 Dead. You actually need to co-op with other players to avoid being turned in to a zombie buffe.

Bought Sim 3 which is a disaster if you're planning a social life. It's that good. Other titles on my hd!

The Last Remnan - Annoying fights.
GhostMaster - Diffecult to the point of silly.
Masseffect - Which I always forget to play.
American McGee's Alice - A weird game version of Alice in Wonderland.
And my favorite. Stubbs The Zombie. Probably the most hilarious zombie game out there.

Thanks Rastelin.  Can you tell me what you like about Sim 3 so much?  I've never played any of the Sim games.

Oh man how could I have forgotten about the Sims 3?

I love that game, always loved the sims. I dunno what it is, maybe it's my female side coming out and I get to build houses and families and things. I always make the little ones that'll be amusing to watch and the dramatic romances and stuff, it's hilarious. Only bad thing is that it sucks you in and the time flies by so fast it's insane.

My guy friends WTF'd at me when I told them it took me 45 minutes to make my first Sim, I was that amused by the insane customizable stuff. There's nt a lot of good patterns and mods for it yet, but a lot of houses on modthesims.com are pretty damn awesome.

hmm, for the PS2, lets see...

1. Project Snowblind
2. Black
3. Call of duty 3
4. Half Life
5. Silent Scope

Those are my top 5 PS2 shooters, not in any specific order.  :D

Ok saddle up!

Are you a family person? You want a marriage or just a relationship. With or with out kids. Do you prefer the single life? Perhaps just a housemate or two? They can be parents, sisters, brother, or perhaps lovers.

Maybe you want more than one lover, but be aware. Jealousy will rear it's ugly head if the other sims lovers find out. I play a single woman, and have female lovers. I'm not gay haha... Sorry... You can choose to be gay, lesbian or strait. Or bifil. Make other sims admire and fall in love with you. And even make them leave their husbands or wife's for you.

What do you want to do for a living. Choose from a range of job offers. Or perhaps a criminal career. Perhaps a hobby like learning to play the guitar. In time you can be a professional musician. Or a writer, or a cook, or a fisherman, or a policeman, or a gymnastics. There a range of hobbies and job offers to choose from. It's all up to your level of dedicated training.

Build your dream house or purchase one. Even rent them out. Throw big parties in it. Maybe a pool. Choose from an insane variety of furniture and props. Earn enough money and have the hottest car in the neighborhood. The biggest flat screen tv, the hottes pc, the best bath tub or shower, kitchen applayance and so on.

Character creation. Oh my... Where to start. An impressive custom editor which includes face, hair, body, clothes for any event, rings and other props. Choose the color and patterns on almost everything. Build their personality down to small details. Choose a goal in life. Choose a voice. The editor it self is a load of fun in it's own right. Start as an infant, or child, teen, young adult, adult or senior. Create your children in the editor or have them in the game. It's all up to you. Set the level of how much free will they shall have. Monitor their desires and needs in the game.

I hope this answer why I think Sim 3 is a blast to play. I fear I only scratched the surface.

I just bought 'Animal Crossing: Wild World' for my Nintendo DS.  After just three days of playing, I think I need an intervention.  This game rocks!   :D
