My hubby got me a Wii for our anniversary (I feel bad because I didn't get him anything thinking we were going to go on a trip later this summer..might still do that).

Anyway, I have no clue how to connect to other users on it let alone register the damn thing. The pamplet in the box said that if I went through the registration process on club nintendo it would ask for my product info but it didn't.

Does anyone know how to do either of the above?  I'm planning on calling their help line tomorrow since I had issues finding the info online.  Registration extends the warranty so it is important.

I did the Wii sports age thing and it told me 56!!! (I'm 27)  I hope that is just due to not really understanding how to hold/use the controller and not because my motor skills really are that bad.

Anyway...off to go dl Super Mario Brothers (I hope it works with the stuff that came with the box, gonna try to figure that out too)...I so miss that game.

Hey Whit,

I've got a Wii.

Go to https://club.nintendo.com/ and click on the "Join Club Nintendo Now!" button (left side of page)

Once you're a member, there's a place to "Enter a PIN or Serial #" next to a "Register" button... about half-way down the page.

As for connecting with others, I think you need their WII number - then you can send them a message from your wii, and they can connect (I think - been a while).  It's all in the "Message Board" on the WII main menu...

You can use my wii as a test - just let me know so I can go check it... here's my id:

You just have to give "Overlord II" a try before you die, or end up a born again christian. It's no fun playing games on you knees with your eyes closed.
Old time classics that need mentioning.

Baldur's Gate
Resident Evil 2 - Mind the warm cup of coffee when you jump in terror.

On the side. "ET The Extra-Terrestrial" video game are unlucky enough to pride it self with the title worst game in history. Feast your orbs on this attrocity. Can you believe Atari wanted money for this.

I started playing Chrono Trigger when taking a break from writing. It's tough to stop and get back to my real work.

I've been playing 3 games a bunch recently; Pokemon Platinum, Animal Crossing: Wild World and [PROTOTYPE]

In Platinum I managed to trade some things with an English friend. She was kind enough to give me a Shiny Glameow and an Eevee Egg. I'm still only in the town of the first Gym leader so I still have a ways to go to get any decent Pokemon for trading even though she says she's fine with fodder. She joined a LiveJournal community for trading, breeding and battling Pokemon over WiFi so she's become a bit of a fiend in the breeding section. Hopefully I'll beat Roark sometime this week when I can drag myself to play some more Platinum. Speaking of Pokemon, who's excited for HeartGold and SoulSilver? I know I am 8D

In AN:WW I'm trying not to neglect it like I always do. I usually end up playing for a week and forget about it for a year and end up being too scared to play in case my neighbors hate me or something like that. So far it's going well, almost a week and I've played at least once Daily. Got my house made better by Nook and I'm now working on getting the 120,000 Bells for him. I only got back in to AC:WW because of this awesome Let's Play version where they turned it into a bit of a Horror Movie thing. It's quite entertaining and well done.

As for [PROTOTYPE] anyone who follows my Twitter should know I've been fangirling over Alex Mercer quite a bit. I finished it on Monday morning at 3:35am and I was a tad bit disappointed at the ending. It had so much potential to be so much more Awesome but wasn't what I expected. Still pretty cool though. I kinda of want to know if Dana is alright and I'm all curious about that PARIAH thingie they mentioned too...Sequel, pls? Lol there prolly won't be but I can dream, can't I? |D

I picked up Civillization Revolution the other day. I'm about ready to take on other players online!

Any other strategy game fans? Most recently before Civ I was playing Sins of a Solar Empire. Sins is an incredibly deep and addicting strategy game (and it has a galactic setting - which is A+ in my book)

I played the crap out of Sins. So much so I am now sick of it, great game though.

I love the "Dune" games put out by Westwood Studios.  Great example of a good RTS (real time strategy)

I bought a Nintendo DS Light last month, mainly so I would have something to talk about with my 11 y.o. niece.  She plays Sudoku, so I gave Brain Age a try.  Fun games, not very time comsuming (except for Sudoku).  She and I both have Purr Pals (which is like Nintendogs only with cats) which is very cute but there isn't a whole lot to it.

Then I made a huge mistake and bought Animal Crossing: Wild World.  It is the most addictive game I've ever played.  Even more addictive than the Sims.  I think I need an intervention.  I've played so much in the past week that my carpal tunnel has flared up and my left hand is killing me.  But I want a bigger house damnit!

I happened to find the registration place just a few minutes before checking the forum (I was pretty busy doing stuff yesterday)...I don't know why they put it in the middle of the page.

I'll have to go see if I can find the wii number thing and add you on there.  They would have to make it difficult to add friends...it would be easier to just send a friend request on there and allow the other person to deny/block people they don't want to add.

Edit:  I think i got you added on the message board.  It says both sides have to add for it to work.  6576-8924-6007-7013 is my wii number.

Got a new game today. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor for the DS. I'm a bit too excited. Probably because I'm such a fangirl of this series in general but Eeee~! Finally a tad bit of the Awesome SMT series on the DS! 8D 8D 8D

Geez... I hadn't even heard of HeartGold and SoulSilver... though the 9yo son is now jumping around the room, telling me about them.  LOL!  I've played Pokemon since the original Blue and Red, so it's in his DNA.

He's right at this moment playing Emerald (for the 50th time), trying desperately to catch Latias.  It's his obsession.  He bounces among the various versions... he finished Platinum for the 5th time last week.  Unfortunately, I started playing WoW at about the exact time that Platinum came out, so I got the celophane off of the package but that's about it.   lol  Hubby played Platinum in Japanese 6 months or more before it came out in English, so he doesn't feel the need to even OPEN his copy of Platinum in English.
