Double Post but I just gotta get this out.

I am the embodiment of Rage right now. I'm in College and I handed in some work to a teacher.
All well and good, right? Wrong. I was an idiot who lost the original piece of work last week in the classroom.
So now all the work I did is null and void because she doesn't want me to print it all out again just because she doesn't want to read over it again.

I just lost a bunch of marks and wasted a fuckton of time doing this work for her.

I'm utterly Gutted. Honestly, I could cry. That's how annoyed I am about this : /

I'm confused?

Did you miss a deadline?  Did the teacher lose your work?  If she had your work and read your work, why is she refusing to give you a grade for the work you turned in?

Ok I shall explain.

Last Wednesday the teacher handed me back an Assignment from earlier on in the year to fix up to get a higher mark than the one I have now, since I was finished with everything else for her. I forgot the actual thing in the classroom, and I wasn't in most of this week due to being sick but I still managed to get everything she wanted done without the original thing being here with me. I gave her the stuff today and when she asked for the old one I explained that I had left it in the other classroom and that I'd go get it. When I went to get it, it wasn't there. I checked all the rooms on the floor and all the bits of paper and none of it was my old assignment.

I came down and told her the bad news, but I also offered to print out the work again since I still had it saved because I thought that would be ok. She shouted at me saying "How am I supposed to know what to correct and what you changed if you don't have the original here?" which is true, I'll admit, but she went on to say "I'll have a look for myself and in my files here but if I can't find anything, you're just going to have to stick with the original marks because I'm not reading over it all again."

After about 15 minutes she returned to the classroom and told me she couldn't find it and that I had to stick with what I had and asked if that was "alright". I asked her why couldn't I print it out and she repeated the "I don't have time to read it all again" thing and left for her break, leaving Hat sitting in the corner of her classroom feeling pretty crap and angry. While I'll be the first to admit that it was my own fault that this happened because it was me who lost the original piece of work, I'm honestly dumbfounded as to why I just can't print everything out again and hand it to her, when there are other students just doing earlier work now at this time of the year and getting it marked by her D:

From knowing how it is for my husband and having to grade a lot of stuff as well as how teachers have graded my work in the past.  I think the last part; already having to read all that other work; is why she doesn't have time to re-read what you turned in previously.  She probably had the idea of looking at the markup she had previously made then comparing it to your changes...much quicker than having to read both and compare.

Wow, Hat, that sucks.

Sorry to be away, everyone, but I was very busy.  Only just got done seeing the extended family off (got to meet a few I'd never seen before, shame about the circumstances) and tying up a few lose ends.  Got about halfway through perspective's post and then just left it.  It's not that there isn't a point, but it was a long post, and I'm not sure he'll get around to reading all the replies from here on out (he's not been on the past 24 hours).  He's given some wanting replies to everyone in the thread, as well.

So Hat's getting nerves removed from her two uber sensitive and bitchy front teeth that hinder her eating today. Half excited and half freaking out.

I know the Dentist said that once I'm numb it'll feel like a filling to me, but the idea of ripping nerves out kinda makes me a bit nauseous ( they're nerves, they're not usually supposed to be touched in my mind D: ) but at the end of the day, I'd rather have teeth with no feeling than sensitive ones so it has to be done. Hoping that after this I can finally eat food properly without flinching when I bite it and that I'll no longer require a straw for hot and cold drinks :'D
