Yes
Jude 3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

No
Proverbs 18:6
A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.

Yes
1 Peter 3:15-16
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

No
Proverbs 26:4
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

Yes
2 Timothy 4:2-5
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

No
1 Timothy 6:5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Yes
Proverbs 26:5
Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

No
2 Timothy 3:1-7
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Yes
Acts 17:2
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures

It must be tough to decide whether it's good to continue disputing the question of contradictions in scripture, given these contradictions!
"Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration — courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and above all, love of the truth."

I've seen this video bandied about many many times... here is the link with what scholars, both secular and peer, have to say:

Psalm23

Quote from: "perspective"Please point out anything you might think is a contridiction in the Bible, and I will do my best to explain it.
The only time there is an error or contradiction in the bible is when an atheist opens it.

it's funny.. the POPE or the millions of high priests don't see these contradictions? LOL.  :pop:

I bet you $500.00 if you visit an atheist based website.. they will show you an error in the bible... and they won't reveal the correct answer.

Remember, any time there is something in question.. there's always an answer.. but atheists are too afraid of the truth.

pure and simple..

On the contrary. I do not believe I am afraid of the truth. For, truly, it is what I seek. So far you have failed to convince me that you are privy to any knowledge or understanding that I am not.

I counter, that instead of me being afraid of the truth, you are. You believe what you believe and are afraid to question it because of your fear of eternal damnation. "But wait!" you say. "I know what I believe because God has revealed himself to me! I'm not scared of hell, I'm happy to feel his everlasting love!"
Then explain to me why I should believe you when you say this, and not any other believer in any other god who believes they too have had revelation from their own deities. For god's sake, think more critically man!

Also: Why in the world would I be afraid of the truth if it meant that I would get to live an eternal life simply by accepting the sacrifice of a man/god 2000 years ago? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

Atheists read the bible for one main purpose, and that's to find "errors" in God's perfect word.

They think if they find a discrepancy in God's word.. then that ultimately means God is false, right? WRONG!

atheists have been digging and searching for errors in the the Bible since it was first penned. And Christian Apologetics come right out and say.. "No No No!!! Here's the answers just a few verses away!!"

You can show me what you think is a contradiction, and i will search the internet for that verse, and i'll type in "answer" next to it. and bada bing bada boom! God is perfect afterall!!

Quick tally... how many think Psalm won't run away like perspective?

I've got a feeling he's going come across something like this:

"God, I just can't help these people anymore. These fools mock you and me, and I can't show them the obvious error of their ways. I give up. I don't have time."

Quote from: "Man-ofGod"If God destroyed Satin, would that prove Satin was wrong and would love continue to exist in heaven or would the host be more fearful then loving of their creator?

If god destroyed satin... we wouldn't have comfortable bedsheets anymore.

satin: a smooth fabric of silk or rayon; has a glossy face and a dull back
satan: chief spirit of evil and adversary of God; tempter of mankind; master of Hell

Just sayin'...
Prayers that need no answer now, cause I'm tired of who I am
You were my greatest mistake, I fell in love with your sin
Your littlest sin.

Quote from: "Sophus"
I think the host of heaven really would start to fear God if he destroyed satin.
If sin may be committed through inaction, God never stopped.

My soul, do not seek eternal life, but exhaust the realm of the possible.
-- Pindar

The bible said that God is perfect, and it said that man is imperfect.
It also says that god created man in his image. If god created people that were just like him, that would make god imperfect. :brick:

hmm.. wait, if there really weren't any other gods out there besides the One True God, the first commandment wouldn't make any sense right?  So maybe God was talking to the other gods.
