I always thought these little guys were bees. Turns out I was wrong and they are just harmless little flies. Hover flies, or Corn flies. Sum bitches are everywhere around my house, constantly landing on you. Anybody else have bazillions of them around?

Ooops, i accidentally posted in wrong forum, could someone move it?

 I was wondering why this was in Life as an Atheist. Possibly something to do with some biblical plague I wasn't aware of.

Where do you want it moved to? Laid Back Lounge? The new Misc subforum?

No one

Flies,  ticks,  and fleas are nearly as bad as the human scourge that infests these parts.

Sum bitches

I had never seen this before, I like it!
;D

Oh ya? It's part of our usual vocabulary here.  :)

Aw, don't be too annoyed with the hover flies, they are beneficial, polinators, taking some of the load of the pour, ailing honeybee in the UK and other places.

Pity you can't send us a few billion of your spares!

Sorry sight a couple if days ago, huge budlea in fresh bloom, in gentle sunlight, and not a single flying insect in sight. Don't mind the dirth of mozzies, horse flies and bluebottles but total butterfly count this month two cabbage whites.

Where have all the flies gone, fewer birds as well.

Don't think we have many of those here.

What we DO have here are mosquitos (stealth biteys) and horse-flies (attack biteys!).

It has been a very itchy summer....

I don't know. I don't venture enough out into this place called 'outside' enough to know.

Bugs like that are a great part of the reason. =P

Really? Wow, I would love to send you some of these bugs. We have an over abundance of them here!

Plenty of mosquitos here too, though they're not so stealthy...
