I think that hermes2015 has come up with a great theme for the new competition.

QuotePlease submit up to three photos of any decayed or weathered surface that you find beautiful. It can be any material: metal, plaster, paint, food, [or] any photos that show beautiful decayed objects on the macro scale as well. These may be ruins of castles, old cars, spouses, etc.

Entries will be accepted up until the 23rd of July. Please PM them to me, or if you really prefer email use the email address in my profile.

Thank you, hermes2015 for the splendid theme.

Bumping, as one does. And will do, every few days.  :whistling:

I may have to submit a selfie of my face  'cause it is weathered and deteriorated.  Aw hell, I just remembered, it is not beautiful ....never mind.

Thank you. I was going to bump this thread today, anyway.  :blue smiley:

No hairy green oranges in my fruit bowl (for a change), everything in the fridge looks, and smells, good . . .

Hmm, there's a few hundred pics on the old archive drive - there were those mushrooms that looked like flowers, maybe the odd rusty old something.

Yeah, it's that beauty clause that's the hurdle.
Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Yeah, it's that beauty clause that's the hurdle.
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder so that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, I agree. Perhaps we should substitute "beauty" with "interesting" or "startling"?

Oh dear, perhaps my theme was not such a good idea after all!

I think it was brilliant!

Just bloody difficult to find the time to seek subjects. Loads of rusty stuff, but hardly any beauty (in my eye).

Tell yer what, make this one for a "Winter Solstice Competition",  or something, and go for something more mundane for each month.

Not holiday snaps though, some don't have holidays!

I will offer, "An unusual point of view", anything from a viewpoint one would not normally see or use.

Perhaps I should send a photo of my wife  ;).

Putting together the photo challenge poll now. We have a really fine selection for this one, but I will accept last minute entries up until I post the poll (which may not be until tomorrow).
