Quote from: "Willravel"It's really difficult to tell what is or isn't in drinking water, let alone what in it is good or bad. The best option seems to filter it, and simply get whatever you need from multivitamins and your regular diet. I highly recommend using a reverse osmosis filter if you can afford one. They filter out pretty much everything but the water, including fluoride.

Is the fluoride in the water beneficial? Probably not.
Reverse Osmosis filtration is an excellent idea, however, how do prevent exposure attained from watered produce or what animals ingest that we eat?

That depends, I suppose. Boiling can get rid of a lot of bacteria and viruses, but the truth is that the best way to get safe meat is to do your homework. Free range meat is safer, organic meat is safer. Certain fish have higher concentrations of mercury. I personally like wild Alaskan salmon, free range turkeys from local farms, and organic chicken.

I'm following a different solution.

Over the years, I've built up a tolerance to Flouride, Mercury and Iocaine Powder.

Now I'm almost entirely made of wood,

p.s. seriously, you can build a tolerance for *some* things (uh, probably not mercury or lead), and I'm sure there's a genetic component in who's affected...

Awww, Dennis, now you had to go and start "pulling the thread on the sweater"! See what happens? You start pulling on it and the whole thing comes unraveled.  ;)

Can that guy be involved in any more horseshit than he's already been involved in? It's like he and Cheney have been vying for biggest assholes in the universe or something.

I totally agree.  Organic meat and veggies are so much better tasting IMO.  Who can afford it, though.  It's flippin' expensive.  On the other hand, you will most certainly live longer eating organic.  Now that I think of it, organic doesn't mean that they don't use fluoridated water. :brick:

It was just hanging there, damn it!  I like sweater vests anyway.

True, but fluoride doesn't get evenly distributed in the body of a mammal, bird, or fish. I believe (but remember, I'm not a doctor) the highest concentrations would be in the stomach, bowels, liver, and colon. Still, a small amount of fluoride shouldn't be a problem.

Is anyone else spelling it flouride and then having to go back and flip the u and o? Bloody scientists.

Ha ha, I was having that problem.  My Firefox detects it for me by underlining misspelled words in red.

IS THE USE OF FLUORIDE A MEANS OF CONTROL?
Fluoride used by Nazis to sterilize inmates and make them docile. Fluoride a key dumbing down ingredient of Prozac and Sarin nerve gas -- poisons of choice for tyrant rats.

The first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water on Earth was found in Germany`s Nazi prison camps. The Gestapo had little concern about fluoride`s supposed effect on children`s teeth; their alleged reason for mass-medicating water with sodium fluoride was to sterilize humans and force the people in their concentration camps into calm submission. Obviously I    refusal of oral hygene :D
