Welcome to HAF. I had never heard of Zoroatrianism before.

Persian Christian offshoot. Freddy Mercury of Queen was brought up in that faith.

Hello DoctorBeanJuice

I don't recall any ex-Zoroatrionists on the forum. You may be unique! Where do you live?

Thanks for making the effort to sign up and join in.

Welcome to HAF.

Persian Christian offshoot.

I thought that Zoroastrianism was much older than Christianity.

Welcome to HAF. Unlike some of the people here I have heard of Zoroastrianism. I confess to ignorance on the subject. Hopefully you will enlighten us on the subject.
It appears to me (whether rightly or wrongly) that direct arguments against Christianity and theism produce hardly any effect on the public; and freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of men's minds which follows from the advance of science - Charles Darwin

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the object of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a god, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism. - Albert Einstein

Religion is a by product of fear. For much of human history, it may have been a necessary evil, but why was it more evil than necessary? Isn't killing people in the name of God a pretty good definition of insanity. - Arther C. Clarke

Faith means not wanting to know what is true. - Friedrich Nietzsche

Welcome to HAF.  Tell us more about Zoroastrianism.  I've heard of it, but don't know anything about it.

Zoroastrian religion dates back to several hundred years BCE. I believe that they had two deities. One good, one bad. The good guy, the creator, was named Mazda I think. (no not the automobile Mazda) This religion was almost exclusively practiced in Iran (Persia).  That is the general idea and perhaps the new member will fill in the details at some time in the future. I will look forward to learning more.
