I've seen Sepultura a couple of times - brilliant power music live and mental moshing mayhem; Superb.

Looks pretty good, The Prodigy live are always good regardless of whether you like the music or not. Nah your never too old for anything especially not festivals. I really want to go Sonar Barcalona this year I have said that every year for the last 7 years but never gone. But this year the Amon Tobin - ISAM show is being perfomed there and to me would be worth the price of the tickets, flights and hotel.

I took my wife and the kids to Isle of Wight festival 2010 as a birthday surprise. We camped and it was such a hoot (nice wine-buzz throughout the day) and I loved the fact the kids got to experience the atmosphere. They loved it - the nice weather helped. It was a bit limiting having the kids in the evening, but we took turns (I saw Blondie on Saturday and she saw J-Zed on Sunday). The other highlight for me was seeing the accoustic set of Little Boots who I love. All in it ended up costing about £700 which smarted a little! Recommend it to any family interested in experiential education for the kids. We're hoping to do Bestival once this decade...

I got an iPhone yesterday (haha, I know, like the comic from the "What's On Your Mind" thread) so I suddenly went from a 6 year old Nano that holds 1 GB of stuff to 16 GB.  I made a rookie mistake and went insane and put all 900+ of our songs in iTunes (gathered over the last 6 years) on it at once.  Husband even said "I don't think you want to do that" but I was in such a mania of having so many GBs to play with, I thought "What could be the harm in having MORE songs?"

Well, I didn't think about the fact that probably 3/4s of those songs are Husband's, and not necessarily anything I really wanted to listen to or have even heard.  Also, that playing 900+ songs on Shuffle means that it is going to be years before I hear that song I like again.

So far today I have listened to:
Talking Heads - The Lady Don't Mind (mine, love)
The Briggs - Dead Men Don't Tell Tales (hubby's, okay)
Dr Dre and Snoop - That Kush (ours, love)
DeadMau5 - Mr G - (hubby's - what is this intolerable bullshit that he's listening to these days?)
MGMT - Kids (ours, okay, but I'm kind of over my MGMT phase, and while I'm thinking about it, do we really need 3 versions of this song?!?)
Tiger Army - Outlaw Heart (ours, okay, but also kind of over my Tiger Army phase)
Elliot Smith - Alameda (hubby's, not bad)
The Strokes - Juicebox (hubby's, I like, despite having a stupid name)
DeadMau5 - Tiny Dancer (hubby's, okay seriously, what is this shit?!?)
The Peacocks - First (ours, awwwww, I completely forgot how much I love the Peacocks.  Thank you iPhone.)

Seriously?!?  I guess this is how you know I'm getting old.  I think I'd rather take a screwdriver to my eardrums than listen to anymore DeadMau5.  Since writing that list, I also listened to the Sleigh Bells (hubby's, okay, but two things - first, it would have been way cooler if they spelled it Slay Belles, and second, someone needs to turn up that chick's mike.) and Asher Roth (ours.)  Oh Asher Roth.  I turned into my dad while I wasn't looking.  I used to think Asher Roth was kind of funny (when I used to listen to him, like 4 years ago.)  Now I'm all "Stop whining and appreciate the miracle of flight, you asshole." (in response to "Bad Day" where he complains about having to sit on an airplane next to a fat person and without his iPod, amongst other White Whines.)  I'm old.

Hahaha, I'm not a fan of OFWGKTA either (except for maybe three tracks across the whole group) but Tyler the Creator is down with the hipsters so Ali gets hipster stock.

I like pretty much all kinds of electronic music except for trance, it's awful you can fill it full of electro hooks and wonky basslines its still trance.

I used to really like trace, but I don't like it when it sounds cutsey.  I remember years ago buying a few techno cds and thinking that I really hated them.  I love electronic music, but these were just bad albums.  I don't even remember the names of them.

And The Prodigy are reuniting for this concert?  Awesome.  One of my favorites of theirs is Weather Experience.  Also, Piranha is an ultimate favorite.  That and Spitfire.

Has anyone heard of Pendulum?  The Terminal is my favorite of theirs.  Sounds like Cybermen from Doctor Who.
