So Arizona is thinking of passing a law saying it's a criminal offense to annoy or offend a person online. The form in the link that Anon created is hilarious.

QuoteShould Arizona Governor Jan Brewer sign off on House Bill 2549, using the Internet "with the intent to terrify, intimidate, threaten, harass, annoy or offend a person" would be prohibited by a state-wide legislation. Arizona has already approved one of the most overzealous immigration laws in the United States, so suggesting that HB 2549 will get Governor Brewer's stamp of approval isn't that much of a stretch. Should that be the case, though, an unofficial Anonymous Twitter account has you covered.

I can agree with laws on cyber bullying, but this is just.. I don't even know. What the heck is going on with Arizona laws lately?

Just think of those obnoxious Christians you'd be able to catch with this! Christians would have to be polite to atheists!

And we atheists would have to be polite to Christians. Hell, just our position of there being no god offends some Christians.  :'(

I hope nobody hear lives in AZ if this bill gets signed into law.

Sometimes it's fun to be a dick on the internet... Asmo better hope this law is never adopted where he lives.  ;D

Oh, Asmo can sting in such a way that the person will not even realise they've been stung until later. He can be rude nicely, The Asmo can. He just prefers not to.

See?!?  See?!?  Arizona is fucked.  I don't know what their problem is, but they have gone batshit crazy over the last couple of years.

*Looks over her shoulder to see if Arizona is watching.  Arizona may read this comment and be offended....*

Nah, nothing'll happen. I mean, it's not like arizona's prisons aren't crowded enough. So I suspect it's a devious way to raise revenue.

WTF is in the drinking water in Arizona these days!

Really, it'll be illegal to annoy someone on the internet? What, exactly, is the legal definition of "annoy"?

But that butthurt form is pretty hilarious.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

I'm not sure, but I have only meet 4 people from Arizona in person and two of them were bat-shit crazy. I would imagine any opinion a person expresses online will offend someone somewhere.

I have an exfriend from Arizona. She was constantly offended by everything I wrote on my livejournal and facebook. If it were up to her, i'd be serving 25 to life.

Unbelievable. But the butthurt form is hilarious. Thanks for the link, TA.
