James Cameron back on surface after deepest ocean dive

They spent about 20 minutes on the ocean floor but their landing kicked up silt, meaning their view was obscured...

I think the odds are very high he'll do something like that. He's been fascinated with the deep sea for decades.

I definitely have some respect for the work James Cameron does. He's a really cool guy, when it comes to all the stuff he investigates. We need more explorers like him. :)

Well Richard Branson would have beaten him to it if the glass sphere on his sub had not cracked under test. This put them back a year and gave Cameron a window of opportunity that he grabbed with both hands.

It's amazing what Cameron's done with his career, not just movie-wise but with his inventions. He also invented the specific cameras they used in Avatar. Visually, it doesn't get much better than him. Though sometimes his story-making could use a little work, but now I'm being nit-picky :)

My congratulations to Cameron. It is a pity that he could spent such a short time on the bottom. The Challenger deep is not kind to submarines. Hopefully, Deepsea Challenger will be able to return soon.
