How about maps, coasts where the rivers,,, shudder I can hardly say it,, meet the sea.
Why are they called inlets?
They are outlets!!!!
Perverted sailors should never been allowed access to ink.

I see an almond trying to emerge from it's stone mother. I would name the sculpture "Almond Mater".  It's really a stretch to see a vagina, but then some people try to snatch strange interpretations from anything they see. Some images just seem to give birth to nutty ideas.  While it's difficult to put my finger on it, there is something about the image that pushes certain buttons and gives me a rise. Right now I find it really hard to penetrate the inner beauty of this work of art.

This is a most excellent post.

I see the vagina, but probably wouldn't have thought of it if it hadn't been pointed out.  It's pretty hilarious that this has actually been covered up because some highschoolers had dirty thoughts about it.  Very reminiscent of table cloths to cover a tables' gorgeous gams.

Subtle, but nice, Ecurb!

Why not give the kids a real vagina to look at? Deorate the walls by painting naked people on them. Doesn't have to be pornographic, and nudity in itself... Well, why would one want to put an age limit on that?

Well, that would certainly distract them from the sculpture.... :D

Would make at least one school a nice place to be.

At Memorial University they have this sculpture in the Arts building that has been "controversial" at times.

It has a couple of nick-names, one of which being "a Whale's vagina".

...And people manage to get themselves worked up over that? Like seriously?  ???

I used to work in a whale watching center. We had a complete skeleton in the basement. It looks very much like the jaw bone.

Ok, I definitely see a vagina on that one! :) Not so much the Wassilla sculpture. The fact that people are screaming about that is just a reflection of that city. High school kids see more sexually suggestive things every time they go to an art museum.
This does remind me of an incident 10 years ago or so where the Attorney General John Ashcroft demanded that a statue at the Department of Justice be covered up because it showed a woman's breast, even though the statue had been there forever with no one caring. The US can be so prude sometimes.

I had some last week, so maybe that's why. Either way, I kinda feel like people who sexualise inanimate objects probably just have a dirty mind in general.

And the pony in your avatar is winking rather suggestively. 34
