Just got back from 4 days in New York City with my wife and oldest granddaughter (age 11).  This was her first time to NYC, so we showed her some highlights.  Here are some of them:

1.  Looked at the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park;
2.  Visited World Trade Center Memorial;
3.  Walked on Brooklyn Bridge (didn't go all the way across - too cold);
4.  Ate New York Pizza;
5.  Visited Little Italy and Chinatown;
6.  Saw Time Square at night;
7.  Shopped at the Toys-R-Us in Times Square (I hate shopping but I was with two women);
8.  Shopped at Macy's (see 7 above);
9.  Visited Strawberry Fields (tribute to John Lennon) in Central Park;
10. Saw giant Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center;
11. Looked at shops on 5th Ave.;
12. Went up Empire State Building to see NYC at night (WOW!);
13. Visited Grand Central Station;
14. Saw the Rockettes' Christmas show at Radio Center Music Hall; and
15. Ate a hot dog from a street vendor.

That's about all we had time and energy for.  What are your favorite things to do in NYC???

In my case get there! Looks like you had a fun though.

I hate London.  I expect NY would be as bad for my tastes. ::)

The Magic Pudding

QuoteJust a perfect day,
Drink Sangria in the park,
And then later, when it gets dark,
We go home.
Just a perfect day,
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later, a movie, too,
And then home.

If you hate London, yes, you would probably hate NY.  I, on the other hand, love London, and consider it one of the top 5 cities in the world that I have visited (NYC, Paris, Venice, Chicago being the others).

Favorite things to do in London:

1.  Taking a night dinner cruise on the Thames (including going under Tower Bridge);
2.  Drinking a pint in Shepherd Market in Mayfair;
3.  Walking down Portobello Road in Notting Hill;
4.  Eating fish & chips;
5.  Visiting the British Museum.
